This is a decent book though a bit lengthy.
Currently reading Enders Game.
It has great reviews on goodreads

Currently reading Indian history & mythology for some time..it was one of the initial picks..good book..
u may evn try Devdutt patnaik..his version of mahabharata – JAYA is quiet good.. even SITA , Seven secrets of vishnu , shiva,etc.. are also quiet good. .
If some one likes reading mythology i highly highly recommend reading MRITYUNJAY
