I don’t like this default display picture; can I change it to something better?

Definitely. You can change your display/ profile picture (also called avatar) to any image of your choice in a few simple steps. And yes, did we mention, we support GIFs, too?

Once you log in, you will see your username in the top right corner of the screen: hover your mouse on it and click ‘Settings’ from the drop down menu. You will be taken to the ‘Edit Profile’ page, where you can upload a new avatar. You can either upload a file directly from your computer or upload via Gravatar (especially helpful in cases where direct uploading returns error).

Take your time while choosing a username, because we do not allow Dimers to change it, for security reasons.

We do, however, allow you to change your registered Email ID. After logging in, check the top right corner of the page: go to ‘Your Username’ > Settings (from drop down menu); and you are taken to the ‘Edit Profile’ page. Then click on the ‘Sign-in-option’ tab on the left hand side of the page. Here, you can sign-in with your alternate email accounts through Facebook or GooglePlus.

Log in to your account; go to the top right corner of the page; hover the mouse on your username, click ‘Settings’. Then click on the ‘Reset Password’ tab located on the left hand side of the page.

Type in your new password, confirm and save changes.

Deals get to the Frontpage when they garner lots of interest from the community in the form of votes and other positive feedback. Our team of expert Deal Editors validates these popular deals by researching:

• Price history
• Customer reviews
• Expert reviews
• Availability
• Inventory

If everything checks out okay in their research, the deal is then posted on the Front-page.

A. Front Page Deals: These are the deals that have surpassed the rest in popularity and worth to make it to our front page and are considered to be the best (till another better deal comes along to take their place). As a reward, the original poster (OP) of the deal is credited with Dimes for discovering and sharing such a gem with everyone.

B. Featured Deals: Sometimes a deal is good or way above average but not superb enough to make it to the front page yet. In such a case, the deal is promoted under the Featured Deals & Offers section, found on the Home Page. Please note that no extra dimes are given to the OP, if a deal is featured in this section. The aim in featuring a deal is to prevent it from getting lost in the ever growing flow of topics and to keep it easily accessible for all members. This also makes sure that the original poster’s efforts are not wasted. Sometimes, there are chances that a Featured Deal, turns out quite worthy and becomes popular enough to be called an FPD.

C. Popular Deals: All recent deals that are being liked/ discussed by a lot of members, at a time, are displayed on the Popular Deals page. You will find them in Deals > Popular Deals or you will find them on the right hand side of the Home Page, below the Featured Coupons section.

This is again to make life easier for those users who are unable to stay on forums for long. So, whenever they come online they can easily find the Popular Deals without having to search through the forums. You might see all above average deals eventually in this category at some or the other point of time.

To send a private message to another member of this forum, go to your Inbox, located on the Profile Overview page, and click "Send A Message". Alternatively, you can select "Start Chat” in the drop down menu that appears when you click on any username.

The hotness of a deal is determined based on a combination of various factors, some of which include the views of the deal, the relevant comments on it, the votes awarded to said deals by our Dimers, how many Dimers have clicked the links of the deal, session time, the price factor, etc.

The hotter a deal, the more likely it is to be marked as a popular deal and showcase on our front page.

Once you're signed in to your DesiDime account, click the button labeled “Submit" located in the upper right corner next to your profile name..

Deal Alert is a Feature which can help one to get updates about the Deals he is looking for. One has to just set a certain number of Keywords related to their products, to get instant deals alert or offer on it.

You can find Deal Alert Option on top of the right side of your name. Click on your user name Third Option is for “Deal Alert”. Click on it and On Next Page Add Deal Alert Keywords.

To redeem your hard-earned Dimes, log in to your account and you will find ‘Gift Store’ on the topmost bar of the page, click on it. Here you can choose any store you wish to shop from; browse and select a product for yourself. Then click on ‘Redeem’ (right above the list of stores), fill out the form given and submit it. Your gift will be delivered to your doorstep.

Self-promotion in forums is not allowed. If you want to promote your products with DesiDime, you can sign up with the Merchant-Hub. This is a dedicated platform for merchants to promote their products and offers, and is a better option than self-promotion in forums.

No. Multiple Accounts are not allowed in Forum, Each user is only permitted to have one account, and using multiple IDs can lead to confusion and disruption of the community. If you are found to be using multiple IDs, your accounts may be suspended or banned without warning. Please make sure to only use one account on this forum

Yes. One can trade in DesiDime Using the Trading section Forum. Posts should be abiding by the trade rules of the forum.

2. The sale of old or new products with complete details is generally allowed, provided that the products being sold are legal and comply with any applicable regulations. It is important to include complete and accurate details about the products being sold, such as their condition, age, and any relevant information about their use or history.

It is not allowed to trade or share/book tickets, screens, slots, or offers through accounts. This type of activity is generally against the terms of service of most ticket booking and offers trading platforms
