FRAUD by LENOVO India.. THINK 10 TIMES before buying LENOVO SMARTPHONE !!!

I was cheated by Lenovo India not once but multiple times !
1) Phone was kept in service center for 120 days and even after that phone was returned UNREPAIRED !
2) LIED CONSTANTLY by service center and Lenovo operation head of East India Mr Shantonu Majumder that Motherboard and touchpad has been REPLACED but it WAS NOT (have call recordings as proof which i mailed lenovo India)
Shantonu majumder Operation Head of lenovo for East india was instructing the Lenovo service center in Siliguri guy named Arun to order part and still not replace it.. even asked him to wipe the phone properly and keep it for few weeks or month so that it seems that motherboard and touch pad has been replaced .. fortunately he was speaking via my phone and the call gt recorded !!!
3) Made me travel 1200kms exclusively to collect saying phone has been repaired but it wasnt although service center and Lenovo Senior confimed and both knew I would be travelling 1200kms and assured me thrice !! (since gave phone in another city since for work I was there and warranty was to expire in 3 days) (have call recording proof already mailed to lenovo)
And on top the owner started shouting at me to go back without collecting the phone .. i mean WTF I travelled 1200kms that too after Lenovo Senior Shantonu and the service center confirmed me thrice that phone has been repaired .. they knew i will be travelling 1200kms and still didnt repair neither they did Do software Update
4)Willfully marked in system that phone delivered to customer in 7 days although given after 120 days (I was unaware of thos fraud about this got to know recently)
5) mailed lenovo after 25 days of submission that service center isnt repairing phone still they didnt tell me that as per system its showing delivered in 7 days and simply told u will get it soon NOTHING MORE
6) Customer care number is not reachable at all.. it will connect during non business hours but no executive will be available to speak to u .. and between 10 to 6 that is during business hours it wont connect at all (video proof of 2 mins:
)7) If by mistake you mail them or post on Facebook or Twitter they will reply the same thing that you will get your phone back soon (120 days and still soon WOW)
8)Even after 50 DAYS of disclosing the fraud to lenovo with all proofs still I havent been issued a replacement handset or any compensation for the harassement and loss of my time and money!!
Moreover they have even taken the defective handset before 18 days !!
9) Had exchanged around 64 mails over these 50 days with Lencare executive Sridhar Raghavendra ([email protected]) since he doesnt call or ignores mail most of the times
10) even crucial information which can be told over 2 mins of call but lenovo executives stretch them over 7 to 8 emails in 5 hours
11) For eg lenovo executive wanted me to submit the handset today itself for replacement for which he didnt cal but mail and on top he gave only address but didnt provide the phone number of service center for which I had to mail him back twice and wait for 2 hours to get the phone number
So to Sum up even after 170 days of harassement I still dont have even the defective or the Replacement phone with me and Only HOPE that Lenovo might issue a replacement soon !!
Even many shopkeepers in Delhi mumbai Kolkata and many other parts of india feel the same
Try to spread this news possibly everywhere on internet, this will help me to buy k4 note tomorrow in peace
My Experiences :
Sandisk : replacement approval online took 1 week.actual replacement @ service centre took 15mins.
Logitech : took 2 weeks after submitting but got brand new sealed pack
Seagate : replacement HDD was DOA,i complained online to Seagate USA,they sent brand new 1TB from S’pore…whole process took 2-3 months.
If buying electronics,go for quality…pay that extra 100-500 for the branded,well-reviewed positive f/b stuff.
It’s worth it in the long run.
There are also companies which have good products but really bad service. Eg : transcend…i have heard/seen horror stories but never experienced personally since my transcend products are good…touch Wood!

Ex: HYDERABAD
Strontium – NO
Moserbaer – NO
Lexar – NO
Toshiba- they are locked since a month.
PNY – no idea at all
Intex – no clue
Kingston – yes,….very strict..even a scratch on it…they no warranty physical damage twisted
Sandisk – Very poor service , as per service center customer reviews..
Samsung – for online purchases very poor as per dimers..
Sony – good..
and other like
Logitech Online Products – NO
Zebronics – NO
Iball – Locked from more than a month.
Philips – Goood but very costly.. up 1500 for any service..
So buying electronics other than laptop and mobiles is basically a lucky draw !!

It depends on the SC owner actually.
I got cheated by Nokia once. They kept my C5-03 around 50 days saying my screen n charging connector replaced.
While it was not when I experienced the same issue again and showed it to another SC in nearby city.
I agree with this.Some service centre folks are much more helpful.
Sometimes it’s the company policy/process which messes up the Consumer Experience.

Although I am from a Small town and No company has a Service Center here except Nokia. I disagree with you on the Service Quality of Some companies :
1. Strontium : They have a very good service and provide lifetime warranty on their Memory Cards and Pen drives. Just take the faulty product to their center and they replace it right away.They have service centers in most of the cities, maybe you are misinformed.
2. Lexar : I did not find any list of Service Centers on their website, infact their website has no mention of them selling in India, but a Lexar Flash Drive I bought from Amazon went bad after 3-4 months and since I could not find any service information, I contacted Amazon and they took the product back and refunded me. The Service representative said that Amazon itself is the ASS provider for Lexar.
3. Kingston : Their products are provided ASS by Accel Frontline, one of the Best ASS providers in India as per me. They have a Service center in Hyderabad and even if you don’t want to go there, they ask you to courier the product to their Chennai center and they courier you the replacement back, no questions asked. I have replace my Kingston Flash drive and Seagate HDD through them and there was no such “Scratch Policy” since both of these products were not in very good shape when they were sent for replacement.
Was planning to buy the lenovo k4 note on amazon… But after this not planning to buy now…
I dont understand, is OP a fool to take so much effort on repairing mobile?
Why is he banging head on the wall, spending so much time, money for single issue?
If he had taken fraction of efforts to file case which should have been done after one month of non delivery of mobile, he would have got full refund of mobile and compensation for mental harassment and money for calls made, traveling everything………
All service centers are thugs. ( samsung might be different, becoz heard very good experience from relative).
My cousins moto g died after update while in warranty. Service center in Pune denied repairing it saying its physical damage and mobo needs replacement. Later when approached 3rd party repair shop, they told same. Mobo needs replacement.
Finally i asked her to give it to me to try working on it and i fixed it. It was just a software bug. Bootloader had some issue. So after flashing it, it came back to life in 30 mins time. Earlier with issue it was not even booting.
So long story short, service industry is a disgust in India. I hate to see people cheating looting their own country men. For that one shouldnt cheat other country people too.
Anyway if you want to get dragged more for your phone, continue same way you did till now.
OR JUST FILE A CONSUMER CASE, DAMN IT and ask for couple of lacks as compensation. Approach all TV media, print media with details for that will bring as much bad name to lenovo as possible.
Dont get me wrong, i am on your side. But you should learn to use your brain a bit.

I have seen at least 3 different shops with placards that they do not sell Lenovo phones due to poor after sales service.
I bet nothing will happen even if you will file case in consumer forum. There are many people standing with fraud case out of consumer forum office. Even if they consider your case genius to understand your problem they will take 7 years minimum. Who know lenovo company will be there or not. and if its there they have that model to replace or not.
Many dimmer suggesting here to file case. Can anyone able to give proof of settlement happened within 1 year in such case via consumer forum??

Ya used to happen with me when I was facing problems with my Docomo Number, I believe their system automatically does that and unblocks after a few hours of not calling.

Exactly thats why i was reluctant to go to consumer forum .. i tried online consumer forums and even NCH previously not for this but didnt get anything out of it so only .. yes it caused me a lot of harassement and tik
time and my main fault was that after being cheated by service center and 2 to 3 lenovo employees i still trusted lenovo brand as a whole and thought they would help.me out but I Was WRONG ..the brand and the company itself is pathetic in after sales and support atleast the smartphone department !!!

If you want your phone back in working state then just do what I am saying.
Go in center and ask for status they will give stupid reason
Inform that you are not interested to listen there problem either they must provide alternative mobile for use as duration is long else you will not go without your phone which will not allow to close them service center.
Seat in service center for 3-4 hours they will test you patients and try to convey you. Don’t listen them.
Finally they will give your phone to you.
I did same thing with Sony Ericsson. They were saying that your phone is send in Delhi main center for repair and after doing this they had provided me after 2 hours. I know its waste of time but have to do. Sometime Gandigiri work.

18days back i already submitted it to lenovo fr replacement and as per them it reached their warehouse 13 days back but still they need further confirmation from warehouse whixh isnt done till today in order to proceed further .. really cheaters and liars lenovo is
As a advocate I wish to inform that in consumer forum you yourself can argue but if you use a advocate they will refund his fee too if you win the case.Have all documentary proof and see that you warn them about consumer court option.Now you can send notice by mail too.
