I was cheated by Lenovo India not once but multiple times !
1) Phone was kept in service center for 120 days and even after that phone was returned UNREPAIRED !
2) LIED CONSTANTLY by service center and Lenovo operation head of East India Mr Shantonu Majumder that Motherboard and touchpad has been REPLACED but it WAS NOT (have call recordings as proof which i mailed lenovo India)
Shantonu majumder Operation Head of lenovo for East india was instructing the Lenovo service center in Siliguri guy named Arun to order part and still not replace it.. even asked him to wipe the phone properly and keep it for few weeks or month so that it seems that motherboard and touch pad has been replaced .. fortunately he was speaking via my phone and the call gt recorded !!!
3) Made me travel 1200kms exclusively to collect saying phone has been repaired but it wasnt although service center and Lenovo Senior confimed and both knew I would be travelling 1200kms and assured me thrice !! (since gave phone in another city since for work I was there and warranty was to expire in 3 days) (have call recording proof already mailed to lenovo)
And on top the owner started shouting at me to go back without collecting the phone .. i mean WTF I travelled 1200kms that too after Lenovo Senior Shantonu and the service center confirmed me thrice that phone has been repaired .. they knew i will be travelling 1200kms and still didnt repair neither they did Do software Update
4)Willfully marked in system that phone delivered to customer in 7 days although given after 120 days (I was unaware of thos fraud about this got to know recently)
5) mailed lenovo after 25 days of submission that service center isnt repairing phone still they didnt tell me that as per system its showing delivered in 7 days and simply told u will get it soon NOTHING MORE
6) Customer care number is not reachable at all.. it will connect during non business hours but no executive will be available to speak to u .. and between 10 to 6 that is during business hours it wont connect at all (video proof of 2 mins:
)7) If by mistake you mail them or post on Facebook or Twitter they will reply the same thing that you will get your phone back soon (120 days and still soon WOW)
8)Even after 50 DAYS of disclosing the fraud to lenovo with all proofs still I havent been issued a replacement handset or any compensation for the harassement and loss of my time and money!!
Moreover they have even taken the defective handset before 18 days !!
9) Had exchanged around 64 mails over these 50 days with Lencare executive Sridhar Raghavendra ([email protected]) since he doesnt call or ignores mail most of the times
10) even crucial information which can be told over 2 mins of call but lenovo executives stretch them over 7 to 8 emails in 5 hours
11) For eg lenovo executive wanted me to submit the handset today itself for replacement for which he didnt cal but mail and on top he gave only address but didnt provide the phone number of service center for which I had to mail him back twice and wait for 2 hours to get the phone number
So to Sum up even after 170 days of harassement I still dont have even the defective or the Replacement phone with me and Only HOPE that Lenovo might issue a replacement soon !!
Even many shopkeepers in Delhi mumbai Kolkata and many other parts of india feel the same

Besides poor performance of its phones in the Indian smartphone market, the Taiwanese company now has one more thing to worry about. And that is the anti-HTC campaign being run by mobile phone retailers in the city of Delhi.
Consumers have long been complaining about super-expensive price tag of HTC phones, but we never thought that it would come to this. This protest is not about the outrageous price tag at all but is about their quality of service and after-sales support.
A number of mobile phone retailers in Delhi are putting up banners advising customers to not choose HTC phones for their poor quality of service. These banners are either hung outside the shop or are fixed at the payment counter.
Who’s Doing It & Why?
These posters have been circulated across various markets in Delhi by an unregistered entity named Delhi Mobile Sellers Association. According to a distributor, this issue originally surfaced from Karol Bagh’s Gaffar Market.
Distributors are complaining that HTC is unwilling to provide customer support for repair and servicing of its phones whether purchased online or offline. Retailers fear that if they sell such phones, then they’ll risk losing their customers forever.
What’s HTC Saying?
As per the news published on TOI, an HTC Customer Service Official denied any such issue in the company’s after-sales support and even went on to add that this might be either an attempt by the rival brands to tarnish the company’s reputation, or a problem at local corners.
There is no official confirmation from HTC India about this, but we seriously doubt that any reputed smartphone company would act like this for fending off the competition.
Things will get more clear in the due course of time, but we will still advise you to check the quality of service at your nearby HTC service centre before making a buying decision. Better safe than sorry.

I am using HTC desire 826S and couple of times i visited service centre, availability of spare parts are really a big issue and sevice is the most important part while purchasing a expensive phone. HTC phones are not worthy to buy at such a high level price. Totally waste…… Its better to have apple instead of HTC.

I agree that HTC is complete ignorant about the post sales service. My phone has a typical issue where it wouldn’t allow me to switch from Speaker phone to headset. It would disconnect. I sent it to TVS and they said the mother board has gone bad and it took more than 10 days to repair. The problem got solved for a while and now it is again doing the same. I don’t have time to give fro repairs. So i bought a one+one and abandoned the HTC. IN my opinion, DO NOT BUY ANY ANDROID EXPENSIVE PHONE AS THEY DON’T GO A LONG WAY! On the other hand my son had a iPohone6+ and it was giving problem. He went to Apple store in New York and they replaced it without any fuss! I am not sure Apple would do the same in India but that is the way to treat the customer! Hope HTC is listening!

peoples believe that the unavailability of parts is the mistake of shop peoples. So this campaign should be helpful for open the HTC peoples eyes. The same is applicable for Lenovo, Micromax and some other companies.

They are right! There are a number of service centers (run by TVS Electronics), but they are unwilling to provide proper service. I happened to visit one of the so called service centers (TVS Electronics, Satellite, Ahmedabad) and they denied to resolve my problem upfront! This was not all, the executives sitting at the front desk were mobile illiterate and ill mannered. One lady was shouting at a customer, the other was hitting her colleague with a customers phone and the third one did not know how to switch off the phone. This was not all. There were queues, even for customers who had come their to collect their phones and they had to wait for hours for their turn. Ridiculous.

worst ppl dont understand customer needs
I think all oems are doing the same thing these days, thats why I have stopped purchasing phones from such companies. I trust Google and Apple. Had bad experiences with Samsung, HTC etc.

Sharing my experience with Lenovo
I have purchased lenovo s920 through ebay during 2014 May, after 6 month usage, the phone got issue with the charging port.
Then visited near service center and they taken my phone for 12 days, and after they informed the motherboard have to be changed and the same is unavailable in Lenovo warehouse also.
Escalated the same to Lenovo support team and after two days they issue DOA certificate and advised me to handover the phone where i got purchased.
Firstly contacted eBay support, they informed its more then 6 months, so they cannot do anything on this.
Then contacted seller directly, they advised me to send the phone with box including DOA certificate.
Sent to their address through blue dart courier, They initially denied to refund, but i sent mail to Lenovo support and cc to seller.
The Lenovo confirmed the device is eligible for DOA refund and they refunded the money in my bank account after deduction the EBAY commission 5 % within two three days.
Dear OP, you need to ask DOA certificate from service center, if your device not repaired in 15 days initially.
However ask them now.

Here I am thinking Micromax is the worst….Compared to these, i guess i have got VIP treatment at micromax…
I have faced 4 issues in a year, each time it was solved in 1-3 weeks…
After escalation with the social team, they contacted service center and asked the details on the delay….

Lenovo is best. I had issue once with Lenovo A6000 and they repaired within a day.
OP is appointed by Micromax to tarnish the image of Lenovo.
Problem can happen with any company so don’t make Lenovo an exception.
If you open a similar thread in the name of samsung, nokia, lava, jwalamukhi, blah blah etc you will find grievers for almost all companies.
