The morons are going backwards. Used to recharge for 2 day unlimited data for Rs.55 on BSNL EDVO in case of excessive data need. Now, they have block the recharge even before payment page, ’It’s not a valid BSNL recharge’. Freecharge didn’t have the plans earlier, recharged once and got Rs.50 as balance complained to freecharge but no use.

If that setup is attached to a window it works better. Even aluminium tin/foils works if you don’t have a vessel like that. By the way don’t use a very long usb cable if you are making such an antenna.

Have ordered a 4 meters extention cable, I’m planning to put this antenna on terrace with compatible WiFi router.
It that setup works then it’s a great jugaad for me

I wont suggest such a long cable and hope you are not placing the setup in an open terrace

As earlier mentioned, aluminium foil/food wrap works equally good. And a router is better option but I am yet to find a router that works with Teracom model.

Yeah advantage of foil is that it can be easily placed on window grills. If the teracom model has a linux installer then you use raspberrypi to make a router.

This is one of my future projects with an inbuilt lcd display for on board controls.

I found this one after some research https://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B00LWVZNM6/ref=aw...
A couple of guys have answered questions on compatibility with bsnl evdo teracom model.
I am going for this, just waiting for some lightening deal on this. We can return if this doesn’t work.
Let me know if you find this one cheaper somewhere else, many people have bought the same for 1100/- in past.

That would be an expensive affair and troublesome too, better buy ZTE AC2766 and compatible routers are already mentioned in this thread earlier.

I will try all possible combinations and will choose best
Will post here what worked best for me.

Yeah I have the exact dongle bought on ebay for a very cheap price. Anyway I have a 2mbps broadband and would use dongles only when I require to download too much stuff. I do one day plan recharges 2-3 days in a month for my download needs and use it directly on my low power rig.
Building the rasperry pi router is for an experience and I already have few Pis and displays bought for other projects. But was only suggesting it if someone doesn’t find compatible routers and already have pis (amazon price errors) to make use of it.

1. TP Link TL-MR3420 (check out other TP-Link routers like TP-Link TL-MR3020 too, head to TP-Link and check their compatibility list)
2. Paytm doesn’t support Evdo recharge anymore (read the title of this thread)
@ thrify_indian i know this thing and had written to paytm at least 5 times with proper assurance that they will rectify asap. My question is if you select datacard option in paytm which allows 55 recharge i have seen its going through till payment page. Will it do stv or top up
Thanks for replying btw
