The morons are going backwards. Used to recharge for 2 day unlimited data for Rs.55 on BSNL EDVO in case of excessive data need. Now, they have block the recharge even before payment page, ’It’s not a valid BSNL recharge’. Freecharge didn’t have the plans earlier, recharged once and got Rs.50 as balance complained to freecharge but no use.

Yes in my area I am facing regular network fluctuations from last 15-20 days and from last 2 days even I am not able to connect.
Will will be from bsnl server as in evdo we are connected through a proxy network.

It happens sometimes. Due to Network refusing connection. Might be network problem. Try later. If possible try from another device if it connects.

Yes the same is happening with me too and everyone in Eastern region that I know of. I called the exchange on Saturday but they were not aware of it. So only tomorrow most likely there would be a solution. But do call your local exchange and make them aware of the situation. A friend in Bhuwaneshwar even called me and he is facing the same. It’s a server side problem.

Some recharge denominations for BSNL EVDO changed
http://www.keralatelecom.info/2015/12/bsnl-revi...
prices changed once again
made a recharge of 838 rs day before yesterday
http://www.desidime.com/forums/hot-deals-online...
use this offer for recharge
free 50 Rs cashback from freecharge
( Twice/No/Dc/Cc Per account )
Visited three Bsnl office to do inquiry about EVDO connection . In which one (which is marketing office and sells evdo connection) said first confirm that you will get EVDO signal in your locality , they don’t have modem in stock to give me trial or for use and the second exchange confirmed that i will get signal which is by the way just 200 meters away my house
P.s Bsnl Exchange just 200 meters away (obviously its has giant tower but i am not sure its EVDO tower or for Bsnl gsm tower) from my house . So does that guaranty that i will get great evdo signal .
And kindly tell me if i buy Mts Branded ZTE Ac2766 modem can i just unlocked it by @thrifty_indian method and use it for bsnl evdo connection.
Update:
Some how i managed to get Demo for Bsnl Evdo yesterday at 11:15 Am
I am getting full network at my home (i.e five network bars) but the speed was pathetic . The whole time during the test it never crossed 40 KBps ( 500 kbps ) . The modem which was used for testing purpose was Zte Ac 8700 modem which was having an inbuilt antenna.
So now i am confused 2-3 years back i use to get 30 KBps speed from 2g net . So should i go for it or i should look for alternatives like bsnl broadband or reliance 3g 6gb for Rs. 400 like plans.

You got it reversed. 1Byte=8bits So 1KBps=8Kbps.
Just wait a few months for launch of Reliance Jio 4G. Anyways most operators will eventually shutter their CDMA networks.
P.S. No Railtel coverage in your location?

About Railte never heared about it
Railtel is a branch of Indian Railways. It leases bandwidth from BSNL and provides way,way better plans than effing BSNL. Take a look here www.railwire.co.in/tarrifs-and-plan...ml

Glad I could be of help. I am even happier that there is a viable alternative to evil BSNL. BTW Railtel pings are pretty decent sub 50ms and very little downtimes.

you tried with wrong modem
AC 8700 is outdated and you wont be getting max download speed
I was specifically told not to use 8700 modem by the bsnl exchange guys
and you need to select network speed to broadband/EVDO to get max speed, may be it was automatically configured to 1x speed for you
I am getting avg 150KBps download speed all day and i have downloaded like 70gb in the past 20days
BTW i get max 4 network bars only

May be you are correct. because the person who came to give demo was not from BSNL. He was something like 3rd party support for people who are looking to get bsnl sevrvices.

I am stuck at this, last try then I will buy new data card or sim if that is the issue.
Anyone else who bought regular bsnl CDMA sim managed to run 1X without activating EVDO? I am concerned because it’s giving me error 678 is it hardware failure or network issue?
Got a friends evdo and that worked in a click. Used for 5 minutes giving 500+ kbps DL speed in room.
Please help.
Here is screenshot without inserting SIM.
Same error, any ideas?
