I agree with DD’s decision to curb trading. Like admin rightly pointed out, DD as a community originated as a platform for sharing deals, Coupons etc. I joined DesiDime back in 2011 and things were different then. Dimers were encouraged to post more deals and most of the Dimers helped each other without expecting anything back in return. Fast forward 2015 and all i can see is Re-sellers selling Uber rides, Tricks sold for money, threads everyday blaming admin/DD since someone got cheated in a DD trade. List is endless.

Like a sensible dimer pointed above, There may be a few Dimer whos make quit DD due to this decision but in the long run community will benefit from it.

So basically DD wants to come clean and say we are no longer The Black Underworld forum.

I doubt that. There would still be all these negative comments because they came from those unethical tricksters. Genuine traders shared their criticisms with suggestions to trade legally.

About those new rules, as I said before, the admin/mod team should discuss with credible dimers all the ethical/legal use-cases possible and frame rules accordingly. I suggest meritocracy rather than democracy in this case.

These new rules seems came only after a lot of thinking, discussions & also bad experiences shared by dimers while trading.
So rules can be modified as the things move on…

Been reading through the whole thread and found some very disturbing thoughts by these traders and “looters”… Many people who said they were just exploiting loopholes and hacking apps and what not got a lot of support from many others… Many likes for their posts…
One particular fellow is so shameless that he went on to say that companies are making millions and what if he looted them unethically for a few lacs…what difference it would make… It means like a person who works honestly day In and out earning money should not mind his wallet getting stolen… He is earning money anyway… A typical thief would think this way… That comment by such a thief on DD also got many likes…. So this is undoubtedly a good move by DD admin…

Excellent decision from desidime. Now we can see that most of the desidime community was illegal users who want to loot using tricks by cheating which can be proved from sad faces this threat got.
