It's fair to say that Swiggy has consistently been quick to raise delivery fees, often to levels that feel higher compared to its competitors. Recently, reports circulating online suggest that Swiggy may increase delivery charges for its grocery delivery service, SWIGGY INSTAMART. Several media outlets have compared Swiggy's price hikes with its competitors, and the results highlight less convenience and lower satisfaction for users compared to other platforms.
“Currently, Swiggy provides some subsidies on delivery fees through its subscription program (Swiggy One) and to help users get familiar with this new service. However, there’s a plan to gradually increase delivery fees over time."
The reason behind this move is all about the company's profitability. Swiggy's CFO discussed this with analysts after the company announced its Q2 FY25 results on December 3.
We’ve mentioned the Q2 FY25 results for your easy understanding. But before reading it, we always keep your savings in mind. So, here are our Swiggy Instamart Discount Codes to help you save on platform and delivery charges.

In the quick commerce market, Swiggy faces competition from Blinkit, Zepto, and Bigbasket. Blinkit offers first-time users 10 free deliveries before applying platform fees, while Zepto provides a Zepto Pass, allowing users to pay once and enjoy free delivery for a limited time. With Swiggy likely to increase charges for Instamart, many users might switch to Blinkit or Zepto for better value.
Whether you're a Zepto or Blinkit user, as mentioned earlier, you’ll need to pay extra for orders. It’s convenient to have everything delivered quickly, and even a Rs. 5 saving can buy candy for your kids. So, be sure to check out our offers!
During Diwali, there was news online about Zomato and Swiggy raising their platform fees. The charges, initially Rs. 2 to 6, went up to Rs. 10 per order. Swiggy’s CFO also mentioned plans to boost margins by increasing platform fees for food delivery and monetizing Instamart through ads.
