It's fair to say that Swiggy has consistently been quick to raise delivery fees, often to levels that feel higher compared to its competitors. Recently, reports circulating online suggest that Swiggy may increase delivery charges for its grocery delivery service, SWIGGY INSTAMART. Several media outlets have compared Swiggy's price hikes with its competitors, and the results highlight less convenience and lower satisfaction for users compared to other platforms.

Swiggy’s (CFO) Chief Financial Officer shared that…

“Currently, Swiggy provides some subsidies on delivery fees through its subscription program (Swiggy One) and to help users get familiar with this new service. However, there’s a plan to gradually increase delivery fees over time."

The reason behind this move is all about the company's profitability. Swiggy's CFO discussed this with analysts after the company announced its Q2 FY25 results on December 3.

We’ve mentioned the Q2 FY25 results for your easy understanding. But before reading it, we always keep your savings in mind. So, here are our Swiggy Instamart Discount Codes to help you save on platform and delivery charges.

Swiggy’s Q2 FY25 Result

Swiggy shares jumped 7% to Rs 534.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after strong Q2 FY25 results.

Revenue Growth - Up 11.77% QoQ (Quarter on Quarter) to Rs 3,601.45 crore and 30.33% YoY (Year over Year).

Net Loss - Rs 625.53 crore, a bit higher than last quarter but better than Rs 657 crore in Q2 FY24.

Food Delivery - Achieved EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) profit of Rs 112 crore (1.6% margin), with GOV (Gross Order Value) rising 5.6% QoQ to Rs 7,191 crore.

Instamart Growth - GOV up 24% QoQ to Rs 3,382 crore. Expanded to 12 cities, added 52 stores, and improved margins.

Total GOV grew 30% YoY to Rs 11,306 crore, with adjusted EBITDA losses narrowing by 30% YoY.

In the quick commerce market, Swiggy faces competition from Blinkit, Zepto, and Bigbasket. Blinkit offers first-time users 10 free deliveries before applying platform fees, while Zepto provides a Zepto Pass, allowing users to pay once and enjoy free delivery for a limited time. With Swiggy likely to increase charges for Instamart, many users might switch to Blinkit or Zepto for better value.

Whether you're a Zepto or Blinkit user, as mentioned earlier, you’ll need to pay extra for orders. It’s convenient to have everything delivered quickly, and even a Rs. 5 saving can buy candy for your kids. So, be sure to check out our offers!
