Review of Arctic Fox Anti-Theft Alarm Bag (After 2 Weeks Usage)

In this article, I am going to be sharing our first-hand review of the Arctic Fox’s anti-theft alarm system bag. What is the quality of the Arctic Fox’s bag? How does the alarm in the bag work? is it worth buying or not? and any other possible questions you may have.

Earlier this month, I was on the hunt for a high-quality office backpack. A colleague recommended the Artistix Talon anti-theft laptop backpack, which he had been using and was quite satisfied with. I was leaning towards buying it, as I liked it. However, my sister suggested another option - the Arctic Fox Anti-theft Alarm Bag.

After some research, I opted for the Arctic Fox bag primarily because of its excellent fabric quality, the added security of the alarm system, the convenient USB port for charging, and its sleek, sophisticated design.

I ordered the Arctic Fox Alarm Bag from Amazon and received its delivery in the next 2-3 days. 

As you can see it arrived in this huge box, covered in plastic packaging within. Some of the accessories I received with the bag include a face mask, a rain cover, a USB Cable, a charging cable for the alarm, and a warranty card. Here are the pictures of the same:

The litter pouch mentioned as an accessory is actually a small pouch present on the right shoulder strap.

Now that we are past the unpacking of the Arctic Fox Alarm Bag and all accessories come inside, let’s get to the point: Arctic Fox Anti-theft Alarm bag review after usage.

To put our review of the Arctic Fox Alarm Backpack plain and simple, here’s what we would say: The Arctic Fox Anti-theft Alarm Backpack is worth buying more for quality and less for its Alarm System.

Overall, while the alarm-system feature may not be perfect. It does help add an extra layer of security. On top of that, the excellent fabric quality of the bag makes it slash-resistant. So is the Arctic Fox Anti-theft Alarm Bag worth buying for its anti-theft features? We would say yes, it depends on your usage. But don’t rely too heavily on the Alarm System as in our experience it can fail to ring (though rarely).

Well if you are among those who are considering shopping for the Arctic Fox Alarm Bag for its alarm system & anti-theft feature, then hold on. There are some things you must know.

The fabric quality is worth the price:

The bag comes with excellent fabric quality made from high-quality polyester. The outer front-most fabric of the bag comes with a shiny, smooth finish which has a feel similar to PVC, a material that is considered one of the best against rain. It features a small badge with the Arctic Fox logo which adds a modern touch ot it. The other surrounding outer material of the bag is made from a thick polyester layer with padding from the inside.

Good zipper quality but only 1 compartment:

The Arctic Fox backpack comes with good zipper quality and has 2 zipper locks made from stainless steel. However, there’s one drawback. The bag only has one compartment and hence if you have (especially sized) multiple things to pack, it can get a bit unorganized.

Alarm sounds loud enough: This positive quickly turns into a problem at times

The alarm system is probably one of the most attractive features of the Arctic Fox anti-theft bag. But if you are buying this bag for just that, then here are a few things you must know.

• The alarm isn’t smart, so it rings if anyone opens the zipper of the bag including the owner

• While you can turn on / off the alarm, it is a bit of a hassle to do that and isn’t something you’d be able to do frequently

• If you are a college / school-going student or anyone else whose work may demand the bag to be opened multiple times, the sound of the alarm might become annoying

2. The alarm rings every time the zipper is opened regardless of who the person is (which may feel a bit annoying to some users)

3. Doesn’t come with a manual guide to better understand the product (but available on the official website)

4. Slightly difficult to turn off / on the alarm due to its location

To charge the alarm battery, all you need to do is remove the functional chip/plug and insert the micro USB cable that comes with the bag. Of course, you’d need to connect the micro USB Cable to a standard mobile charger adapter first.

There’s no way to find out if the battery is fully charged or not. However, when the charge is low, the alarm sound reduces too. So you can analyze the loudness of the alarm to identify the battery charging status.

So this was all about sharing our review of the Arctic Fox Anti-theft Alarm System Backpack. The anti-theft bag is a good choice for office-goers and its excellent build quality makes it a worthy purchase. However, don’t buy it for the alarm system (only) as after a certain point of time, the feature might feel a bit inconvenient/unnecessary depending on your usage and preference.
