Reliance Jio IUC Ends : Now Enjoy Truly Unlimited Free Calls starting 1st January 2021

Reliance Jio, India’s largest digital telecommunications network, had implemented IUC(interconnect usage charges) from September 2019. This charge is now going to end starting 1st January 2021. Therefore, Jio users can now enjoy truly unlimited free calling all over India to any network. Besides, the prepaid and postpaid plans remain the same for all users.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) has passed the Bill & Keep policy. As per this policy, the IUC charges will now be nullified. Thus, users can use Jio to Non-Jio calling for free instead of paying for it earlier.

As per the fair usage policy(FUP), Jio used to give some calling minutes for free as per the recharge plan. Although, it took the IUC fees from users. The good thing here was that Jio didn’t charge any additional service fees on IUC usage.

The new truly unlimited free calling on the domestic network is applicable to all Jio users. You simply need to have an active validity pack to enjoy this offer. The minimum plan amount is Rs 129 and goes up till Rs 4999 so there is plenty to choose for everyone.

If you are a Jio Fiber subscriber then you will get free on-net calling on your Jio network. Other than calling, you can avail free services like Jio TV+, paid OTT apps(Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, and more), and complimentary Jio apps.
