I will always root for anything with jio so that they bring price down and then select the best provider like airtel
I am using Airtel Service since 8 years its very good and but we got jio fibre recently no such marketing I have seen
Already have Airtel Xstream connection 6 month advance rental. Very Happy with speeds get around 120 Mbps on 100 Mbps plan and no downtime till date. Wil stick to Airtel only.
airtel “40 MBPS UPTO” means depending on your area you may get between 0mbps to 40mbps,we cant say how much speed we are gonna receive, where as jio we get standard 30mbps speed through out the month
airtel xstream
1.how much is the monthly rent
2. if i don’t pay monthly rent i cant use box ( like normal smart box for viewing youtube or etc), is it get “LOCKED”
3.if i am having acc in other apps like zee, sony ,etc can i install and view content from them
4.can i install 3rd party apps not through playstore
thank you
I would just like to tell that ‘Truly Unlimited’ have FUPs still after 3300GB or 3.3TB of data consumption. I was having Airtel broadband 40Mbps in 2012 but their data limit was too lo but very reliable and good customer service. Then switched to You Broadband 60Mbps unlimited for a short time which was pathetic with speeds and reliability. Subsequently moved to ACT Fibernet which I’m using for the past 5 plus years. The connection is stable and reliable with pretty good customer care and high data limit capping compared to other providers. I have noted that data byte consumption count in Jio flies (like a tweaked auto meter lol) so fast to reach the limit as l had taken the free pilot plan initially. Just have cancel Jio and get the deposit back. For now 3300GB is still pretty high capping but still may not be ok for some. Just sharing some info which l had come across earlier.
Jio everytime. Screw Airtel. They fleeced customers before Jio Mobile and they fleeced customers before Jio Fiber. If Jio can do in 399+GST then Airtel also can.
If Airtel had it’s way, they’ll charge 100 per GB. Extortionists.
Using BSNL FTTH, for a monthly payment of Rs. 908 for 100 mbps, getting an ancient black box type of ONT and then using my own router (because BSNL doesn’t believe in WiFi).
Seldom get the promised speed. The troubleshooting guy is more clueless than me about technicalities and breakdowns.
I really wanted to support BSNL, but can’t bear with all these issues.
Last nail in the coffin is that even to surrender, I need to visit the BSNL office (on work day and working hours) and surrender those boxes, get a receipt and then only will I get freedom from this torture.
Airtel installation charges for 499 and jio 399 plan? No need of stb . Any disadvantage of not taking stb?
Rooting for Jio always. Jio is always the one that brings affordable plans for people first, rest like Airtel etc just follow it and try to match up to avoid loosing customers.
Until Jio launched 4G we were paying Rs300 for just 1Gb data. Just imagine how costly it would have been during lockdown and work from home, and studies of children online by Zoom, if jio was not there. Also the boom in youtube etc content creation and consumption is because Jio made internet affordable and accessible to all of India.
Even now Airtel launched cheaper broadband plans only after Jio. Except metro’s rest of India only has BSNL, Airtel(looting until Jio) and some local cable Internet providers(pathetic service and looting).
So Jio is a boon. I only want Airtel, Idea and others to survive because only Jio monopoly is a little scary thought.
Please note that the price mentioned by airtel is inclusive of GST.
But jio plans are exclusive of GST so we have to pay around 25% for the price they have quoted
No. Thats not correct. On link for first page itself it says….
T&C apply. *All prices are exclusive of taxes.
I already have xstream fibre, will I still get ott subscription. Also can I downgrade my plan?
Can anybody tell me how to utilize unlimited data quota (3300gb) in Jiofiber?
I have jiofiber and my annual plan was automatically upgraded to include unlimited data. When I finish my plan’s 200gb per month, does unlimited data start after that?
If yes, at what speeds, same as my plan?
I don’t think Prime Video comes bundled with the Airtel 999 plan in Delhi. This is what is written on their website -
Unlimited internet plans such as Ultra include upto 1 Gbps speed, unlimited local/STD calls and more importantly, Amazon Prime and Airtel Xstream subscription. Now to get free Wi-Fi router home, connect broadband and enjoy high-speed internet, entertainment, information treasure and more, without compromises
Prime comes only for 1st year. I don’t think it’s included all the time. You can check with customer care
I have been using airtel vfiber for more than a year. Downtime is hardly 15min. I made a mistake of switching to jio from airtel for mobile. I regretted it later and switched back to airtel. As of now I hold 999+299 extra plan. Good thing is I don’t need to pay 299 extra going forward. Let them keep 1999 for same 999 plan. I’m OK to pay. Reliability matters than cheap prices to me
Can anybody tell which charges airtel take initially for connection
I am in Kothrud area of Pune. Jio plan is not in my area. I have airtel Xstream 999 plan. And it’s bad for working from home. Upload speed Is also important for Working from home. And airtel offers 512kbps. Hathway on the other hand gives me 5mbps upload speed too.
You need to get your router checked then.
Railwire is best. I’m using it in West Bengal.
Plans – FTTH
349
700GB
25Mbps
1 month extra recharge if you do for 6 months
Above rates exclusive of tax.
So if you are in West Bengal don’t go for Airtel or Jio. Go for Railwire. Speeds are truly symmetrical and does not drop
Thank you jio for making my airtel plan cheaper… Always airtel for quality.
In case of Airtel, prime and zee5 subscriptions are valid only if you have XStream DTH box and the OTT apps on XStream box can be accessed only when you have a working plan on the XStream DTH box. So is Airtel broadband really better for people who don’t have Airtel DTH connection?
If you want quality support then Airtel is totally worth the price.
Anyone using airtel 999 plan ? Do we get Amazon prime and hotstar membership ?
Can we watch live tv on jio box with 399 plan?
Airtel so far soo good
neither jio nor airtel available at my place in Nashik Jailroad area
Not a good time to do the comparison between these two providers. Their services are not available at majoriy on the places in India even in top tier cities e.g Pune
Yes Both services not available in my area too.
Airtel fiber is having instalation charges 1084 non refundable amount 🤣🤣
F*ck Jio. Never give your money to monopolistic shitters.
Same with Paytm. Pathetic customer service.
The problem with airtel is in the name of optical fibre in many area they are still giving low speed as they are using copper wire instead of fibre.
In my city its Airtel fiber only no copper. New cities being launched are with fiber only.
I have used both the carriers . And now I am using jio fibre. Jio is best in speed. Plan charges may vary
And they never cross the marked speed, ie the throughput is less. I get 20 Mbps more on 100 Mbps plan. So like and dislike depends on ones prospective. My cousin have Jio fiber his fiber broke and they took 10 days to repair the wire.
You won’t get any channels. Channels are going to disappear. You will have to search your content and watch. Everything will change. It will be frustrating in beginning that you can’t change channels that easily. But slowly it will teach you how to be patient. Slow apps, bad boxes, slow speed etc will give you less time to watch tv. Eventually it will be good for you.
i live on Hyderabad in nampally mehdipatnam region, this is like one of the cores of the city and yet jio fiber is not available here. what a joke
I live in navi Mumbai and near to JIO HQ but no service available here
I remember the times I paid airtel around rs 2500 pretty month for 1gb data plan for blackberry and local calls within India
