Indian Railways is coloring blue ICF coaches into yellow by spending 60 lakh per ICF coach and they call it UTKRISHT coach, interior is totally unchanged,
Blue color was best what you guys think
Rather than repainting the coach they should have changed interior, but unfortunately interior has same old broken seats

Ab to kha pi kar, bartan bhi saaf..
Breaking news : After the recommendation of the person who started this thread Indian Railways has changed the color scheme. Dimers felt the color was pale yellow so they came up with 3 color scheme with vibrant colors.
Just 70 Cr/Coach.
Ideally they should paint it white, in a hot country like ours, it helps the passengers travel much cooler during summer.
ok… Indian Railways have decided to keep dimers happy. They have setup a new cell to keep reading desidime and make changes to the color scheme according the whatever dimers say. They just ordered white color for the new coaches…..
Sorry sir to disappoint you. As you mentioned our IT cell is forwarding wrong info. So we need to have some solid IT cell like yours who can create something as fake as Rs.60 Lakh/Coach for exterior paint and continue to propagate it. By the way, itna chhota kyun socha ? Just 60 Lacs/Coach ? Why not 6 Cr or 60 Cr/Coach ?
And we understood that we completely lost to your IT cell. You people are the best. Creates innovative content. So decided to join your IT cell and will help you make this even better “scam”. Forget 60 Lakh, we will make to 600 Cr/Coach scam.
Yes, 70 Cr/Coach.

Kaveri express UTKRISHT coach review
Here is the original news -
Railways has plans to develop 640 Utkrisht rakes as part of upgradation of its mail/express trains in the next two years at a cost of Rs 400 crore, a senior official said.
Developed as ‘green rakes’ (consisting of 20 or 22 coaches) at Eastern Railways’ Liluah workshop, they cost Rs 60 lakh each.
Exactly. Thanks for the news. If not the initiator of the thread, someone actually checked the facts before commenting
The news clearly says what all has to be accomplished as part of the project.
But I salute the creativity here. The 2.5 years old news was “nicely” presented in a fresh thread with “innovative content” having title “… repainting…”
Big question is which company is getting the contract to paint the coaches and which paint is going to be used ?
