SBI really??
What are the perks of salary account in SBi bro?
Citibank – Like their free DD ordering facility
Whats free dd ordering, also heard citi is going to takeover by axis….earlier it was kotak now news are of axis.
Though, i never had any issue with citi, superb service.
Edit – dd means demand draft, i was thing of desidime
Don’t get all products from single bank….As one bank may not be best for all products.
My employer won’t let me open salary account in bank of my choice. They will give option and I need to choose one.
Same with most companies(may be with mnc)
its employer choice not employee
Icici because you will also get a credit card
i have used Citi, HDFC, ICICI
Liked ICICI out of these three.
idfcfirst because from 1 to 30 oct. they were giving 1% cashback on all debit card trans…….. cashback was getting settled next day in morning….. cashback cap was 10,000 for the month.
SBI has transparent accidental death insurance - https://sbi.co.in/web/salary-account/accident-i.... It also has the facility of MOD wherein the excess funds can be converted to FD automatically (with the lowest threshold of 25000) which gives you the additional FD interest when the funds are not required and also the liquidity to withdraw the money easily by automatically breaking the FD when required (Read more here - https://sbi.co.in/web/personal-banking/accounts...). Savings plus is available for all corporate salary account holders. Read about the other benefits here https://sbi.co.in/web/salary-account/corporate-...
This MOD type facility is in icici also and i find nowadays it works against you since difference is only 2%. withdraw from it and u lose all interest so even the 3% savings interest is lost And plus there is a 1% or so penalty also, dont know about sbi tho
Have been using Citi for 14 years, superb service. Free DD-print and deliver, Free Cheque Book, no transaction fee at all, never charged anything for statements, new cards etc. Only problem is that on many platforms, citi cards are not accepted for example income tax, brokerages etc. Still, they are not the cheats like many of the other banks are!
ICICI Titanium Salary Account
Their mobile app is easy to use
Complimentary Insurance cover which includes 1.5 lac purchase protection and personal accident cover (40 lac air and 10 lac non-air)
Icici bank …I found it most convenient banking services
None of them. A truly good salary account would be one in which the bank also puts in some salary every month. Aise koi bank nahin karta , sadly.
Using savings account for salary, freelance money etc. Mostly using sbi as car loan taken from sbi. Can someone suggest any private banks for betterment. I usually don’t have any issues with SBI though.
I don’t know which is best but Axis is too worst
idfc is way better than the rest.
secon option would be icici .. just for the app functionality .. it’s just flawless unlike any other.
All banks provided similar benefits but axis and icici were giving lifetime free credit cards
So opened axis Bank account also got credit card within 2 months
Citibank.. No doubts.. I have been using their account since last 10+ yrs. It has been a smooth and flawless experience so far..
Salary account should be open in a government bank because they are safe
Private banks ka kuch nhi pta kab yes bank jesa haal ho jaye
I had SBI, AXIS, HDFC, ICICI, CITI out of these CITI is best and AXIS is worst.
SBI.. lunch time and disrespectful employees… Make account in SBI only if u r ready to treated like servants
I think SBI’s service quality depends on the corporate tie-up, I never faced major issues with SBI, they were available at our office once bi-weekly/weekly.
best was RBS (royal bank of scotland) which has closed now sadly,
no charges of debit card, mab, neft, dd nothing at all
best was airport lounge access was also free.
service was top class and you never had to run and they did the work
imagine you going to bank and sitting on lounge while getting free Barista coffee and cookies, while someone attends you on sofa and gets task done in minutes without you moving.
such pampering that too free I have never got in any other bank. maybe thats why they are closed.
Came here to say the same thing. Earlier it was ABN AMRO and that free Barista coffee (including premium ones like latte etc) was superb. On top of that i had a small SIP thru them so they used to papmer me with free movie tickets etc.
Sad that they shut down India ops.
Next I would say is Citibank – exceptional customer service both on phone as well as in branch.
HDFC gives locker rent discount on some type of accounts so that’s an added advantage which is not discussed much here. If you get a good relationship manager, then it makes life much easier banking with HDFC. I also had good experience during demonetisation with HDFC. Was never turned down for a bundle of 100 However, I hate HDFC’s netbanking / app. Horrible, horrible. Each and every debit transaction requires OTP (and at times when I have done 2 similar transactions in succession I still get message that since you haven’t done this type of transaction in a while so OTP ..). It’s also not very intuative and takes longer steps to process – for example even if you have one card – you have to select from available cards (I mean how difficult is it to just default to the single card for those having 1 card and jump to transaction?!!)
Have PPF account with SBI and with the lackluster experience in the bank thanks to the indifferent attitude of bank staff, I decided never to step into SBI unless absolutely necessary.
Is there any Zero MAB account which can be opened without corporate tie-up?
Hdfc, sbi
