check the allowed limits so that after brining in your friend doesn't become your best enemy 😄 (via customs)

Similar to above, if UK, Australia mines gold biscuit is there, then it fetches slightly more than the going rate for kundan (pure gold) here.
But unless the friend is a close friend, it is not worth it going through the green channel versus red channel.
If the friend is biologically a woman, then the friend can carry some more for their own use too, while still passing throughout the green channel of customs.
If the friend is permanently shifting residences back to India, then as per 'transfer of residence' rules, the friend can even bring in a SUV or car without much penalty and customs.
Downside is that the vehicle will have to remain registered in the name of the same person, for N years.
If a ready customer is already there for some specific equipment, appliance or even gadget
then can also get those in the flight, unless too heavy.
Some stuff, especially the ones never launched here or medical devices.. easily fetch something more than the official levies or the bribe paid (to customs).
