What's wrong with dimers? Bashing amazon? Seriously?

Just gone through all the pages. Wow what a drama. People talking about going to consumer court motivated by snapdeal iphone fiasco. It was not a price error. Court will ask from where you got the coupon. What will one say.? Got it from DD or some other forum as somebody posted it illegally/leaked it. Remember court can also penalize the complainant on wasting time and following illegal practices as well ask to pay huge compensation for duping the company. People are blasting amazon for the fraud they have done. Think again it is amazon or you who tried to dupe them they are only correcting what has gone wrong. Think if you were the seller would you be dispatching the orders because you gave a coupon to somebody who leaked it to everybody. You will not be willing to take a loss of 500rs. Amazon is a business not a charity. Also if this continues for a long time forget about the most supportive cc amazon has and their compensation policies. And believe me their cc has started deteriorating with time seeing the Indian mentality. You have seen this already in case mobile phone return policy last month . Many more to follow and then we will crib again. Get over with it guys.
And I know all the angry and frustrating people will start bashing me as amazon agent
This is all I have to say.
Amazon is the best and still people talking shit?
*THIS FEELS REAL BAD
THANKS BRO
FOR SUCH A POST.
WE INDIANS WILL LIVE THIS WAY I GUESS ….
where websites like shopclues, paytm etc. dont value customer service and support and their concern.
amazon does this to a great extent, being a pure International e-comerce website. even Indian companies also fail to address concerns of consumers in certain cases, amazon holds unparalleled record of customer satisfaction (in most cases barring few).
A small techincal glitch or error makes so furious all fellow dimers, what an impact overall will it make on amazon as a seller ??
Do hold some dignity and self respect u ppl.

Not that I am in favor of taking Amazon to court, but they are indeed in the wrong here. Even if somebody leaked that coupon, they are not a new business. They are the #1 eCommerce platform in many countries, including India. They should have known better to:
(1) Put limits on coupon redemption. It’s laughable that they would introduce a user-specific coupon without any limits on the number of times it could be utilized.
(2) Stop the huge number of orders from getting placed much earlier. It surprises me that it took them that long (~4 hours) to stop the orders from being placed.
Moreover, this seems like a sinister tactic to boost their sales numbers before the year-end closing! There. I said it.

+1
I very much believe its true.
I agree they are very good if not best when it comes to customer service but Amazon ain’t any saint. They are here for business and they surely know their ways.
we are not fooling amazon , amazon is fooling us
they have come to know that india has CHALTA HAI attitude
so whatever they do wrong people will accept it.
what amazon has done is totally bad
they should either stop that withing few minutes of such drama started
or at the end delivery each and every order
they knew that its a sunday people are at home take that advantage increases trafic increase sales show so much orders before 31st march and enjoy.
what they loose is a few customers but they must have gained so much by that amount of trafic on their website with it that they can afford to loose few customers
and yes @mjdominates amazon is best i too believe in them and still they will be number one, but today’s drama have removed one feather from their golden cap

In case of usual price errors they bring down the listing or remove the seller within a couple of minutes but in this case they say that they were aware of the issue since morning and did nothing about it for atleast four hours, what do you think is the reason for this?

Okay let’s assume amazon is crooked crap company trying to fool us Indians.
But what about our moral/ethical responsibilities?
This “LOOT” thing at desidime is going too far.
Pls also remember –
if amazon loses the case, assuming people file a suit and court accepts it, probably the seller will have to pay for evething. It’s not fair.
Just because an automated system sent you an invoice doesn’t mean it needs to be fulfilled unless they’ve taken your money and no refunded it.

Don’t force amazon to behave like shopclues to its customers l . Best e-commerce website till date , in any dispute between customer and Amazon , these guys handles like a charm.
Would any one like to comment on the orders being removed from the My Orders history tab?
Agree or not, Amazon wasnt right in today’s episode. It think here Amazon looted the customers (not financially).

Yes this act of removing order history was quite surprising , we didn’t expect this from Amazon but if they skipped this they would have got thousands of 1 staaarsss.

In one of the SBI bank’s branch cashier babu went to routine chai-paani break leaving lacs of rupees like that. Some chor mentality standing in line saw the chance, decided to steal, got caught. Instead of accepting his mistake he started blaming SBI culture of lazyness. And this story has nothing to do with moto g “tubo” (yeah out of 1.35 lacs visitors none noticed turbo’s spelling).

I completely agree with the second
Regarding the coupon redemption, now i am just getting a feeling that this is some unreleased coupon and i think even for amazon cc guys it took some time to figure out the source of it

yaar thread is too long to check. Admin alert could have solved it and thereby giving better SEO and page rank.
I was going to post relating this. But @vicks619 did an awesome work, couldnt have said it better. Guys please stop this before amazon does something we all will regret. Please. Let me ask you this, even if you had a million dollar business, will you have delivered if this happened to you? Think rationally. Each person ordering 10-20 quantities from each account and getting furious, when amazon cancels them. Is Amazon cheating or you?

I don’t think Amazon is foolish to deliberately attempt a stunt like this to enhance sales. Someone at Amazon did screw up. Reason for the delay in stopping the orders may be attributed to non-availability of senior management on Sunday. Maybe someone who is at the helms of affairs in Amazon may not have been available on Sunday to take stock of the situation.
Amazon had built great reputation in India and today’s incident due to sheer scale of orders will go down as one of Amazon’s biggest blunders. This is not the first time Amazon is hit by pricing error. In most of previous PE, scale of orders were limited to 100-200 orders at max. Even if Amazon cancelled those orders, impact would not have been huge. Going by rough estimates, close to a lakh order has been placed today. I have a doubt that Amazon’s order management system also malfunctioned today. Why on earth will an Amazon seller stock 1 lakh Moto turbo phone , that too in a color which doesn’t move well. I doubt if Amazon had more than 200 phones in stock. Listing was finally taken down after 4 hours, possibly by manual intervention. I think Amazon’s IT system failed miserably today.Since this news is trending in Twitter, i won’t be surprised if some national media picks this up. I’m very sure that we will have an official statement and apology from Amazon in a day or two, most probably from the man himself, Jeff bezos.

Bro, i understand your concern for Amazon. We all love Amazon. People will react, it is very natural. This is not the first time companies face the wrath of customers. Did Volkswagen shut down its U.S business after the emission scandal worth 20 Billion $? Did Airtel shut down after net neutrality scam?
Everyone whose order has been cancelled would receive an Apology email in a couple of days or so. Eventually the issue will settle down.
People allowed sites like timtara to function and loot people for years…and want to bash amazon because they cancelled orders? Whats wrong with the people nowadays?
I actually received 2 products from Timtara when it was alive
it took them months to send tho.
