Hi Friends,
I hope everyone is doing well. I’m currently facing a major issue with Cashify, and I’d like to share the details for advice on resolving this matter.
On October 7th, I ordered an Apple MacBook Pro 2020 (Good Condition) from Cashify, which was delivered on October 14th. The Cashify app advertises a feature that allows users to “See the video of this device, Jo dekhoge wahi milega!” with each laptop tagged by a unique barcode. I carefully reviewed around 10-15 video listings of laptops and selected one with minimal visible scratches. After ordering, I attempted to order the same barcode laptop as a double-check but saw it was marked “unavailable.” This gave me confidence that I had indeed ordered the correct barcode.
Once the order was shipped, I tried again to check the availability, and this time the laptop showed as available again, even though it was previously marked “unavailable.” Cashify does not include the laptop barcode in either the email confirmation or order history to show them a proof of a specific barcode I ordered. So, I reached out to customer care, who reassured me that I would receive a laptop in good condition.
When the laptop arrived on October 14th, it had numerous visible scratches and a loose hinge. I immediately raised a complaint, including photos to document the condition, and requested a full refund instead of a replacement. Despite sharing all the required photos and videos, Cashify’s response was delayed and unhelpful. After escalating the issue to the CEO level, they finally arranged a return pickup on October 19th via Delhivery courier. I returned the laptop in good condition, which was even confirmed by Delhivery through acknowledgment message. The message reads: 'Your return Order RET-RMS-11XXXNo.1350XXX for RETAIL SURFACE (AWB 187580101XXXXX) has passed the Quality check & is picked successfully. Hope the experience was great.'
After dispatching the laptop, I tracked the package daily. On October 23rd, the status abruptly changed to “Unfortunately, your package is lost.” Upon contacting the local Delhivery office, they informed me that the shipment was marked as lost due to a “Fire incident” and even provided internal tracking details with screenshots. I promptly emailed Cashify about this, attaching all relevant screenshots, and they assured me they would investigate. Shortly after, the status updated to “in transit,” which was a relief for me. The laptop was finally delivered to Cashify on October 29th.
However, on October 31st, Cashify contacted me, stating that the laptop had liquid damage and it voids the warantty. I was shocked, as I had not even used the laptop and had raised a return request immediately upon seeing its poor condition. I explained that the reported fire incident on 24th October during transit might have caused water damage if water was used to extinguish the fire. Cashify stated they would investigate further.
Without any prior notice, Cashify shipped the same damaged laptop back to me on November 5th, unrepaired. It is expected to arrive on November 12th, and they are not considering to any of my my return and refund requests. The laptop’s cost is around ₹47,000, and I am at a loss on how to proceed.
I’m attaching all the relevant screenshots here. Any advice on how I can get my refund would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Can you please guide me on how to raise a complaint? I have never done that before.
Nowadays.. I even feel scared to order even ₹500 electronics items from Amazon or Flipkart and you were brave enough to order a macbook that too from cashify.
As another dimer said above, with all these proofs and evidence, you should really approach the Consumer Forum.
I don't know the process but legal battles require patience and you have to decide if it's all worth your time and mental peace.
Best Wishes 🍀
We order everything from Amazon n Flipkart. First hand products seldom have quality issues.
deal_killer, maybe gandhigiri (communicating with vinamrta) would yield required results.

The website is self explanatory on the process.
After filing the complaint you will receive a docket number. Just to speeden up and show seriousness of the issue you can maybe a drop one more mail to Cashify quoting this docket number and you have already filed a consumer complaint.
There has been personal instances wherein cc takes things seriously when a consumer complaint is raised.
Additionally they also get a mail from the NCH on the complaint raised to the their marked mail id which u input while registering the complaint
