As far as I can tell, companies' customer service attitude can be summarised as "got your money, ha ha".
Swiggy is really the worst. I've uninstalled the app after having multiple bad experiences and no customer support. It's really frustrating when you have a legitimate problem and there's no one to listen to your concern.
I am also thinking to stop ordering.
Swiggy and zomato both are same now.
Just taking lot of charges and no proper support..
Not helping even in geniune cases.
Will use it only when can't go outside to bring food.
Yes both Swiggy and Zomato are following unethical business practices.That's why I have also stopped ordering from them.
They should acknowledge the issue of missing items. Maybe try it via Twitter support.

Raise the concern on twitter and drop an email to Swiggy, ask them to provide full refund of the order.
Swiggy & Zomato both have stopped giving any kind of compensation/refund for any issue from a long time ago. This happened because people misused that feature on a very large scale. At the time since they were building their online market so they also spent money like water.
But when they killed the existing dining market & people became more comfortable in ordering online, and since they already knew how people misused, so they completely stopped the compensation, and due to that genuine cases are also suffering now.
Try sending some pictures, even now they compensate 50% sometimes when they feel it is genuine but it is very rare. Try to scare them by telling that you will put an online case, this might help but chances are low.
Now whether you use the app or not, it won't matter to them unless it is happening at a very large scale which seems unlikely.
Bro try Twitter dm them and mail to their cs they can help u in refund process. one time happen with me in summer i am ordered ice-creams 2 ice creams was missing after that i am complain on their app via chat within 15min i got replacement order as free.

I never used any price error deals.. Not even Amazon 1 rupees deals.

If paid by credit card, can we file chargeback in this case due to deficiency in service or comple product not delivered?
Due to lot of people misusing swiggy , they provide the replacement instead of cash refunds. You should have asked for replacement , they might have considered refund instead of it.
But again they observe user behaviour patterns to check whether its genuine or someone misusing the refund option.
To avoid unwanted experience i never experience from unknown hotels , will try once with a smaller value then if its good shall keep ordering with higher values ! Also rate the hotel with 1 star if its bad, lesser the stars for the hotel they will be removed from the system.
My cousin has a restaurant and he said that these days Swiggy / Zomato gives them 5-7 days to take action on the complaint whether to give refund or no. And there is a suggested refund as well by the aggregrator's ai. However I asked him do you think these apps will give them the refund that you are giving? He said I don't think so as generally these restauranters take action 2-3 days later also.
And the model is such that if a restaurant does not take action in those 7 days, the amount is cut from the restaurant payout even if it is not an actual issue of restaurant. And the zomato does not cut any amount if restauarant does not take action.
Due to misuse by users these apps as well as restauranters have made a thick skin to not entertain complainers.

My experience with swiggy is otherwise.
I place alot of orders from swiggy and whenever I raise issue, they always issue me instant refunds.
In my case it happens once or twice a month.
One more problem is delivery person.
Here one delivery person having name Vikram Kale internally delays the order.
And even he is aware of me still he doesn't come on my address and keep calling from nearest Landmark.
When we ask why he is not coming he tells he having lot of Orders per day so he cannot remember.
This is a ridiculous thing as many delivery persons come directly by remembering me.
Even he doesn't view the location because it's accurate
Your case appears to be highly location specific/individual specific. Success of Swiggy & Zomato business model of food delivery depends largely on the quality of delivery boys as well as the customers in the region. If any one or both of them try to manipulate, system is not strong enough to capture this behaviour and take appropriate action.
Personally I lived in Delhi, Lucknow & Hyderabad and have been ordering by prepaid payment since the inception of these Food Delivery Apps from the times of Foodpanda/Tasty Khana etc. In so many years never faced a single similar issue.
On the contrary, Swiggy has promptly refunded the entire order amount in case of wrong food item or missing item, after sharing snapshots, which happened rarely. Even in cases where I requested partial refund due to wrong items, they refunded full amount.
Their customer care is centralized based in Bengaluru, they may not be able to differentiate individual cases based on localities/Cities. A higher number of complaints by any customer may automatically flag the account as un-trustworthy and they may hesitate to refund in even in case of genuine delivery/restaurant issues.
You may recall the famous Zomato case (March 2021 in Bengaluru) of a Lady (Hitesha Chandranee) who wanted free food for slight delay in delivery and neither paid the COD amount nor returned the delivered food. Scuffle for snatching the food package resulted in slight injury to her and she posted that on Instagram. Zomato delivery boy got arrested and terminated because of her behaviour. Later when facts were seen in her own video, FIR was registered against this woman and she was charged with wrongful restraint, assault, intentional insult, and criminal intimidation.
Swiggy did the same with me. Items worth Rs. 450 were missing & they offered Rs. 48 refund. When I refused, As$holes added a discount coupon with 30 day expiry to my account without my approval. To use that, I have to spend more on the trash platform.
I made 5 new high-value COD orders from the same restaurant to random addresses in the city for revenge.
Uninstalled the app, switched off the phone & slept. Never going back ever again. Even if I have to, I'll have to pay the pending amount which'll ensure that I don't ever go back to the sh*t that Swiggy is.

If your account is having multiple previous refund issues. They may not entertain you in any mode of communication as your account is already black listed by them.
So check account order history.
