Jars (around rivets) sab ke thode tou leak honge hee.
An aunt who got a Braun (back then still made in West Germany) 350-400W mixxie.. kept using it till few years back.
Everything from refind sugar crystals to rock salt to puran-poli dough to vegetables/ tomatoes for soup.. that Braun survived 45 years. Still the motor works, but replaced with
Philips brand 750W/800W new set.
Frankly I see little use for that much powerful motor .. for those not using is for dosa/idli batter or other heavy work.
Still if one opts for 750W (Because everyone has it, so we too ahould), then better to opt for reliable and old/known brands who still maintain same standards and has not been sold out to different managements.
Nope, I do not think that that price for that product of Maharaja Whiteline is a 'loot', but yes it is a steal/bargain IF IT SURVIVES WITHOUT FAILING (runs error free) FOR 36-40 months at-least.
6-7 years back, got a room heater (old tech, coils that heat up) from an e-commerce portal.. Maharaja Whiteline customer care bullied me/us.
We cross checked that look.. we are giving it to an old couple in a place 45-50 kilometres from the nearest town..
would your service centers properly help at so and so village/pincode.
They (Maharaja Whiteline) were like, we do not have any service centres, those are all 'authorised' (third party) service centers. We cannot confirm if they will honour the warranty without 'dealer stamp' and date on the warranty card.
Multiple timesat multiple levels (within Maharaja Whiteline) we took this up. (That hundred thousand orders daily get processed at various hubs/ warehouses of the portal. They never stamp the warranty cards.)
Wouldn't the brand stand by us/ our older senior citizen acquaintances?
They (rather absurdly) still only said that we are at xyz/city H.Q., local service support is handled by so and so franchise.
We had to loop on the seller and the portal.(Cloudtail India and AmazonIN). They too were like okay we are reaching out to the brand. But finally Amazon reps. said that if things are not moving
A] you either give it to the old couple and hope for the best. If warranty denied, then reach out to us/Amazon.
B] or take refund on return (RoR).
Basically Kelvinator, BPL, Maharaja Whiteline used to be fairly good/ competitive brands with reasonably good in-house products.
Now however.
But then if a Wonderchef, Morphy Richards type alleged 'brands' sell similar stuff for 4x and a Maharaja Whiteline sells it for 1x then that too sells.
If you have already paid for something, then might as well use.
At worst the kitchen people or you yourselves will crib if things do not turn out well. Else everyone will be happy that a working product came for under 20 litres petrol price.

We have been using Braun too for over 40 years. The glass jars got all shattered and some cheap stainless steel replacements are being used now.
