My NSDL bank account is blocked without any notice.
anyone has experienced similar issue? what is the process to unblock it?
Dimers, NSDL bank accounts are being blocked. If account is opened in 2020 and no VKYC done after it, transfer all amount immediately

How to check whether its blocked. I am able to go inside.. I think i opened the account in 2019, where they take details of Aadhar from Excel kind of document.

Probably, your account too blocked, like most of the accounts, even with Aadhaar XML KYC.
You may check by logging into NSDL Bank App -- Accounts -- Account Details -- BLOCKED, alternatively you may also check whether you able to send money by UPI thru any app? If blocked, debit freezed thru all channels (UPI/DC/IMPS/NEFT)
Probably, these accounts are blocked based on recent guidelines provided by RBI to be followed from Jan 1st

Once KYC get updated and keep the accounts active with few transaction will solve the issue

Checked X. Not many complaints like NSDL. So, may be not a mass blocking.
NSDL on the other hand went with mass blocking. Likely all accounts are blocked. Worst thing is NSDL doesn't have the infrastructure to do vKYC for such mass population in a short period. What's even worse is... Accounts aren't unblocked even after vKYC. As per the founder of chqbook, accounts should be active in T+1 days. Let's see how it goes. If things don't improve next week, more and more people are going to suffer.

There is no certain guideline to block/freeze. But banks will say as per internal policy.
They just blocked and sending notifications to do kyc again..
This comes under Deficiency of service from the bank
If this is handled correctly, one can claim compensation from the Bank via RBI complaint.
I have already started the process.
Nope, I have raised vkyc service request as mentioned by the dimer in WIKI
and raised a complaint to the nodal officer. ([email protected])
I will be pursuing this further for compensation.
on another note, one known friend's BOI account was blocked due to KYC and got activated within 1 hr. BOI took immediate steps to complete the vKyc.
Some banks are good in KYC activation.
Some are very bad.
Before reach to Nodal Officer, you need to raise Level 1(from app) and Level 2(email) request with a resolution time of max 7 days.
