Need suggestion to spend 12K on Citi Reward CC

I need to spend 12K on my Citi Rewards CC to waive off annual fee on 1K.
Please suggest ways to achieve this at minimal cost
Does it make sense to keep this card post take over by Axis? I already have LTF Axis MyZone.
