Tanisq price of gold is around 5% premium to market rate. It's daylight robbery 🤕
It's goods and services tax. Making is a service, so gst will be charged on that as well.
Making is charged per gm.
Also, there's always variation between the exchange and market gold rate.
can any give the breakdown calculation.. i am not getting how 67961 value was calculated
This looks like reverse calculation from 70k.
Merchant and customer would have bargained and finalised 70k, so he made bill of 70k.
Now whatever was the price, if you go and ask he will say remaining is making charges.
Sone employees shows the bill of big amount becuz sone time u will get more return
300-400 diff is always there in diff part of country .
Bro her friend had also bought jewellery from there so she trust the jeweller but today when I saw the bill i got shocked for this much of variation how he is making fool of innocent customers.
I shared him kalyan jewellers price chart and google price chart he said my price is different.
He called my sister and said you agree with the price then why your brother is calling.
This is daylight robbery.
How much do we get on selling gold at local shops ie how much less
Complaint in consumer forum
67961/10.74 = 6328/gm for 75%
So 999 24k would be 8436/gm
Considering making charge + wastage + stone charges 10-20%, it can vary with the kind of design.
Price in 31st July for 24k was 6982.
6982*1.1 = 7680 (10% making charge)
6982*1.2 = 8380 (20% making charge)
So in this the making charge is 20%+, which is quite steep, but this would have been bargained and agreed upon during the same.
Also I am quite sure it wouldn't be 75% purity, generally I have seen 70-72% for 18karat.
My friend bought so I will also trust blindly and buy without asking or checking anything.
There is no point in going to the shop and asking him as it is a done deal and you can never argue making charge/wastage after you have paid.
Next time please accompany your sister for any purchases and don't let her feel bad about this incident. She would have been all happy after the purchase, until you pointed out high charges by shopkeeper.
Happy Shopping.
Thanks bro for your input
Is 18k gold prevalent in market? I thought ornament gold is 22k or 916 that comes with bill and certificate. Atleast that’s how I bought so far. Do you have purity certificate from shop?
sad whatever happened, if you can fight visit the shop, might get small gift in return to this overpricing
