Hey Dimers,
We have allowed political discussions to thrive in Dost and Dimes forum but based on some current comments/Messages/alerts by Dimers, We had some internal discussion and could not come to a conclusion.
We would like your opinion to come to a Final Conclusion by Saturday, June 13th 2015.
We have created a poll and would request you to kindly participate in the same:
How should we handle Politically Strong or Politically Motivated threads in Dost and Dimes or other such Forums?
1) Trash It. Dost and Dimes Forum should have no political discussions at all.
2) Let them be as it is. Dimers not interested can ignore those.
3) Move them to a different Forum so interested Dimers can participate.
As far as Religious threads goes, We have decided to simply not allow them as we strongly believe that religion cannot or should not be debated about.
Comments are welcome. Lets all decide together and whatever the community says will get implemented.
Regards and Have a Nice Sunday!

plz solve it before i give my precious vote
wait for some more ‘precious votes’ . I feared this. Now there might wishes from different quaters about different things. Seperate attention for ‘alleged’ news feeds, poopya’s intermittent request w.r.t. B Bhai. Its almost possible that one day, I would (or someone would) want Hot Deals, Deals in Store to be hived off as a seperate site .. And then.. Seperate section for electronics, recharges, whathaveyou [joys of democratic processes ]

Bro, you and some others are unnecessarily trying to complicate a simple question. The question is, "How Should We Handle “Political Threads” In Dost And Dimes Or Other Forums?".
Let’s focus and vote on that, shall we?
1. Delete all.
.
discussing politics does not change anything. LOL

Abhi, you and i are unnecessarily trying to complicate a simple question. The question is, "How Should We Handle “Political Threads” In Dost And Dimes Or Other Forums?".
Let’s focus and vote on that, and not be bothered about assumed variables/ hypothetical scenarios. Our site also has a sticky about no coupon selling, guidlines about no name change more than once, same way thankfully now there might be a new guideline against political threads too (enforcement like any other Indian law, will have its own difficulties)

I hear you loud and clear, bro. But keep in mind that nothing is accomplished in a single stroke. Let’s get through at least this step which was long overdue and then we have moderators like @goss8877, @Sudha, and @cm4444 to take care of enforcing this rule.
And do not forget that there are volunteers who feel strongly about this issue, as evident in the poll results so far, and will be more than happy to alert/tag the mods to enforce the rule.

oh really ? if thats true, why are DS and others attacking me in the comments and sharing their thoughts ?
dont be a hypocrite ! ok.
if you are not comfortable with comments in this thread, take a hike from this thread and don’t show up again . Nobody wants your opinion here anyways. This isn’t one of your threads buddy , so stop preaching us here like you did in your threads. This poll is specifically created by admin to get our views on some of the nonsense that was going on in “dost and dimes section” in the name of politics. The way the poll results are heading to, hopefully none of us will have to put up with your gibberish again.
Oh, I don’t give a damn if you call me a hypocrite.
Admin : Comments are welcome.
do you understand this three words in simple english ?
do you see anywhere (other than your twisted mindset of course) that says DAN is not allowed to comment apart from voting ?@DealSeeker wrote:@logout wrote:@soccergiants wrote:

Guys! Just because someone supports a party which you don’t, doesn’t mean that he or she is wrong. Its just a different point of view.
There is no harm in political discussions in dost and dimes. Even if a different head is allotted for it, people who voted for trashing it will go and check what the hell is happening out there. Its called inquisitiveness ka keeda. I can only imagine the nuisanse if option 1 is enforced. Because then some dimers will find fault with even profile pics, troll pics – anything which has political impression on it. Remember, there is no discussion at all unless two contradicting voices. So if you don’t want a discussion, don’t get involved. Learn to ignore things. You cannot control everything in this world. The more rules you make to simplify things, more hectic situations you will face eventually.
And whats wrong in political discussion? It actually helps you forming an opinion in the long run. At one stage of life, a son can’t talk many things but if its politics they can talk about it all their life. You can’t keep explaining deals/loots with your parents after a fortnight but you can discuss political news and tidbits all your life. And you pick up those tidbits from here and there. If you are mobile 24×7 on desidime, you need to pick up those tidbits from here as well. Look at history, its mostly politics only.
If you dont like politics its either because you don’t understand it or you have seen enough of it. What’s the problem in discussing it and make yourself or others aware of it?
Will continue later..
And BTW admin bro, whatever you will do, some will always find faults with it.
Inko inke haal pe cchod do, do din mein sab satar ho jaayeinge apne aap They will find their own equilibrium.
Bro, have u observed the noise, foul language, mud throwing in those threads ?
it is not the governance or Political science they discuss.
fighting over unconfirmed news, posting animals doing no.1/2 ,
abusing each other in the name of AK or Namo or RaGa is healthy discussion ?

Did you get any reply to your previous comments from admin? It seems that not many, including admin wants to have dialogue with you. You can go ahead and spam this thread too for all i care, however, it does not change the fact that dimers are tired and sick of you and your so called comments. Latest poll update reads, approx 50% of the dimers wants to trash your threads, 40% would be happy if your threads are moved to a different forum altogether so that they don’t have to put up with you. In simple english, 90% of the janta is done with you.
PS : I understand english enough to put some like you in place.

Did you mean " Drumbeats"?
Yes, drum beats only, could not edit in sticky
@desidimes
Yes, you are right. That is definitely a problem. I voted for no. 3 Will creating these political threads under a separate thread solve this problem? I am always online using mobile. So, I don’t see that recent activity ticker which is there on web version. But still, I personally feel banning a particular thing just because we can’t establish a control over it, is not justifiable.
If possible, admins can work out a quarantine feature for each thread which when clicked a certain number of times moves that thread to separate dedicated forum of sensitive information. Once quarantined, it might not appear in open threads and only those who subscribe for it, can enter to read and comment.
@B@R_0_0_D
Hmmm. Foul language! Unabridged version of human nature.
I rarely visit these discussions so I have not encountered cacophony to that extent. Using foul language is an absolute sign of despair. It shows the helplessness of that person to do anything in that regard. We should pity such people.
However, there is a technical solution to this. A particular list of abusive words can be integrated and implemented which when used in any combination will give error in saving reply in posts. This is like automatic detection and prevention of use of abuses in any and every post.
Its more of a fashion rather than aggression that people like to use expletives, curses in their speech & writing. Remember the AIB, Toast of AK and RS? Some people take it as a joke, some don’t. But if admins incorporate automatic detection and prevention of bad words usage, it will save a lot of trouble and exaggeration of foul sentiments.
PS : I personally endorse use of foul language for political drama, because I am not doing and cannot do anything about it. Total out of control. Later, I do apologize To no one listening

Still some days Remaining, Can’t say which option will selected.

Yaa interesting and sad too.:-(
Dan has Left DD, Feeling sad for him.
DD lost a good dimer of because of political nonsense.
option 2… freedom of speech guys.. if you are not interested.. just ignore !!
my few cents—
wats real problem???
v did had political threads before too but problem arose coz of 1 particular dimer…all oldies i think would agree to it..
option 1- trash it- not possible – how would 1 define a political thread?? that would be equivalent to missing even fun part of politics..
option 2-ignore them- it has clearly not worked
option 3- move to different forum- i doubt if it would work coz v clearly cnt avoid ones in D&D section (option 2) , will it be possible to ignore them on different forum….??
since 1 has to choose option among above 3—- 1 go with option 1…
but as i said is politics the real problem or threads of a particular disciple?
why not ban such member & c if it it turns out to be best solution….
PS:- I have nothing against DAN personally this vote is just against his post in wrong place where only Deals loots and tricks can be shared
And NO politics at all because it creates unnecessary talk which is not important to the community .
No of votes in Option 1 > option 2+ option 3 votes for Political discussion to be banned.
Anyone disagreeing with this???
