Happy Sunday! Let me ask you an interesting question today | Answer if you know:

Question is simple: "Why America is great ?" Or should I ask this "What makes America such a great country ?"

Oh, one thing to remember. My question is "Why is America great?" or "What makes America such a great country ?"

It's not India vs. America.

There are 200 countries in the world. Some countries are even better than America, with zero corruption, religious freedom, higher income, government is also helpful and more developed in some areas. But that doesn't make them great.

So think carefully and answer with a calm mind.

If you ask me this question, I can answer it in 3 to 4 words or write an entire book. But you all tell me. Let's see what you all think.

### Two Main Reasons That Make America What It Is Today

*1. America Was Not Ruled by Other Countries*

Unlike many nations around the world, the United States was not subjected to prolonged colonial rule or domination by foreign powers. This lack of foreign occupation allowed the U.S. to develop its political, economic, and social systems independently. Key points include:

- *Early Independence*: The United States gained its independence from British colonial rule in 1776. The relatively early break from colonial status allowed the country to avoid the long-term impacts of foreign domination that many other nations faced. This independence enabled the U.S. to create its own constitution, laws, and government systems without external interference.

- *Stable Development* : The absence of foreign rulers meant that the U.S. could avoid the exploitation of resources and labor that was common in colonized countries. Instead, the country could invest in its own infrastructure, industry, and education systems, leading to sustained economic growth and stability.

*2. Participation in World War I and World War II*

America's strategic involvement in World War I and World War II played a crucial role in shaping its current status as a global superpower. Key points include:

- *Late Entry in World War I*: The United States entered World War I in 1917, just a year before the war ended. This late entry meant that the U.S. faced fewer casualties and less economic strain compared to European nations that had been fighting since 1914. The financial and industrial support the U.S. provided to the Allies helped them win the war while boosting the American economy through wartime production.

- *Economic Boom*: During both World Wars, the U.S. emerged as the primary supplier of arms, equipment, and financial aid to Allied nations. This role significantly boosted American industries and led to an economic boom. The U.S. emerged from both wars with a stronger economy while European countries were devastated and needed to rebuild.

- *World War II and the Post-War Era*: The U.S. joined World War II in 1941, again after other nations had been fighting for years. The American economy was further strengthened by wartime production. After the war, the U.S. was one of the few major industrial nations that had not been ravaged by conflict. This allowed the U.S. to take a leading role in international reconstruction efforts, including the Marshall Plan, which helped rebuild Europe and solidified America's economic and political influence globally.

These factors combined to position the United States as a dominant global power with significant influence over international affairs, robust economic strength, and a unique capacity to shape the post-war world order.

5. Natural beauty: From coastlines to mountains, forests, and national parks, the US is home to diverse and breathtaking natural landscapes.

10. Ideals of equality and justice: America strives to uphold the principles of equality, justice, and human rights, making it a beacon of hope for many around the world.

These factors contribute to America's greatness, but it's important to acknowledge that the country also faces challenges and areas for improvement.

Having below citizen rights

* Right to recall elected and government officials (low and middle level, if not top level leaders)

* Jury court system

* Referendum system

* Right to bear arms

These are a few of the many fundamental reasons why the American system is solid from the core, which makes the USA great.

---------

(If you don't believe the above then compare how many of the above citizen rights do we have in India)

I had already said this is not about US vs India.

Many European countries have these things, but it doesn't make them great.

Whether we believe it or not, it doesn't change anything. America is truly great. What happens in the world is what America wants. But why is it so?

Anyway, this is becoming a different question, but if you can answer it correctly, that is what makes America great.

Bravo! Did you come up with this yourself or did you copy it from somewhere? This is actually the right answer.

But there's one major point missing in it — 'immigration.' 😀

America is also called a country of immigration; you must have heard that.

People in India don't understand. Even the India's biggest experts say, 'Why do we need immigration with such a large population?'

But who will make them understand? One genius immigrant is equivalent to a population of 10 million.

While a population of 10 million can take a country forward, a single genius immigrant can take the country to that level on his own.

Before asking such questions you should first let us know who decided or declared that " America is Great "

Also which America you're talking about, is it South America or North America.

I think the only reason Abhishek thinks America is great is possibly America must be thinking to tie up with India to adopt and introduce either UPI or Rupay cards in their market in near future or may be Abhishek is jst lobbying American govt for the same.

There are few more reasons too, let me add them.

America is great cos

1) You can have any Tom, Dick, Harry and Tharkis as your President and still get away with absolutely anything and everything in the name of God Bless America.

2) It has a Secret Service that works so secretively that no one really knows if its even working (pointing to recent attack on Tharki Trump)

3) You can invade, bomb and destruct other nations in the name of hoarding or creating biological weapons and WMDs to restore peace and world balance

4) There are many more reasons to call America great, but at the end of the Day all they need is God Bless America.

America in a broad sense can be said to be an extension of the Britishers. If one goes back and reads the history of America, ir would be clear that America was established by transporting the "unwanted" british subjects to a farther land, and with the indigenous American population of a few hundreds the greater American dream started. These unwanted, criminals and eccentric britishers were highly skilled, hard working and fearless and that contributed to the very fast growth.

Now post their independence,  america still had close relationships with britain due to common roots, and therefore they adopted the British industrial revolution very early and this marked today's great American success

Value for talent, a normal employee (non founder) can become CEO and be a billionaire.

Don't treat people like garbage or keep suppressed

Law is very strict meaning justice is decided in a democratic way of jury, and jury selection is random, if you see even President is not spared.

Policies are great, not in goodness for others, but for self, which is Kaliyug.

Your answer is indirectly correct because it has its dark side too. American companies need a 'puppet' CEO, like Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, etc., who will follow the directions of investors, shareholders.

Many Americans (American white people) are qualify for Google or Microsoft CEO post but the problem is that they are genius.

Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella are intelligent.

Investors never want a genius to become CEO, unless the company is going through severe problems.

Even in India, geniuses are given great importance in every company. The only thing is that becoming a CEO here is almost impossible.

Note:
An intelligent CEO focuses on increasing profits and share prices, while a genius CEO focus on long-term profit and building a cash cow company.

So your answer is indirectly correct -

Because I mentioned immigration in the comment above.

America is also called a country of immigration.

Although Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella are intelligent but Elon Musk is a genius.

Elon Musk, by creating SpaceX, has shown the whole world, including ESA, ISRO, Roscosmos, CNSA, and NASA too.

You guys don’t have the capability to build space rockets.

Hindi me bolu toh America duniya ko bolte hai, haato, haat jao. Tumlogo ki aukad nahi hai rocket banane ki. Ek single American private company (by the way aise aur bhi American private companies hai) monthly 12 rocket launch karte hai woh bhi heavy rocket aur ISRO ki aukad nahi yearly bhi 12 launch kar paye. Yeh saal 1 ya 2 he launch jaise taise abhi tak kiye honge ISRO ne.

Yehi immigration America ko great banata hai.

As someone already said , they never got invaded or damaged by other countries. Has huge Area, Natural Resources.
Inshort what's America?
Neo British Colony with lifetime agreement of All other European Colonies. Now they also include other's.
They opened their Country OR Bought the BEST Minds in the world to contribute in their  by providing them offer which they can't Refuse [ monetary support, facilities, infrastructure] they just need your work for cheap value & market them as their own brand, by their Company through Patents , creating wealth for their nation, [ sab mil bat ke khao grin].
Also consider their Biggest power, Military actions , equipment & dominance all over the World. They made sure every other country do that they say or else they would ......
Mostly smaller countries.
In future dollar dominance maybe challenged by BRICS currency or something other.

I believe their technology companies ONCE UPON A TIME and rapid development and fairly educated intelligent people at one point formerly made it great.

THAT IS NO LONGER THE CASE AS OF 2024 AND IT IS NO LONGER GREAT BY ANY STANDARD. The worst of extreme crony capitalism has killed its greatness, average IQ of today's American is low, Americans today are dumbos, lacking critical thinking and knowledge yet exhibiting a superiority complex. Their big tech companies which were once upon a time admirable and revolutionary have also turned greedy, and shit - Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta, Amazon, Boeing in particular. Now they are what they are just because of the economic strength of the US dollar and that's not going to last for long.  Not to mention their healthcare and higher education systems are too messed up. The immigrant population is not intelligent either (not visionary or thinking of long-term)

Because they are the first movers.

Be it nuclear bomb or space tech and every other thing that others might consider waste of money.  If I were to define American culture with a single word, it would be "wastage" which they have wrapped under "consumerism"

Ethics are a bullsh*t concept of the only aim it to become "great". I don't subscribe to this pursuit but thats how it is.

I would prefer living in India over America. I might get second thoughts about leaving India only in favour of some small European countries. America has become great in the last century, it's possible that this world itself doesn't exist by the next century.
