Axis Airtel Mastercard to Rupay conversion - help required

Hi Dimers,
I've applied Axis Airtel mastercard as it's my first axis card so unable to apply directly for Rupay Variant.
Today received mastercard but not acyivated yet.
Please suggest whats the best way to convert to Rupay Variant
- before card activation is it possible to change - any possibility in the card actiavtion pressure?
- if i'll activate it now and later proceeding for the conversion by customer support, possible ?
- any other solutions pls

You will get points on any amount,
Nothing with shop turnover but depend on merchant categories.
Also Airtel RuPay variant offer 1% cashback on UPI spend.
@Oreo67 you can also swipe your RuPay credit card and pay, if CC on UPI is not accepted.

they should be converting but dont do it right now ,u can convert network later to ,first see how reward are calculated and how much you get on rupay network

most of the time we can pay via qr code and for mastercard we need swipe machine always.

I wanted to do the same but AXIS bank said they cant do it. I will have to close my neo mastercard and apply for rupay.
