Still a very good deal at this price considering it has Android M update and too many sensors at this price.
Also, it is from WSRetail.. so buy with confidence

Itâs 498. Was at 4499 even before.
498H has been updated as OoS now.

The WSRetail game begins.
EDIT #1: The above link redirects to home page. Check this out: http://www.flipkart.com/search?q=Spice+Dream+Un...
EDIT #2: Both are OoS now.
1000 bucks extra still goodâŚ.

What do you mean by âstill goodâ? The mobile was usually available at 5K with WSRetail. So, 4K would be a good deal at any time, IMO.
EDIT: But keeping the offers from Woohoo in mind, one can even go for 4.5K.
With Big Billion Sale around.. (Not having huge expectations, but you never know..)
Better wait for good deal.. Or better phone model than this
@Magus Price is 4499 on the app + website.
So No VU or VD

Edit: I think magus updated the post for Mi498 as Mi498H went OOS

Yeah.. the only reason i am preserving my bank balance is big billion day
Just because of flipkart sale, we will get great offers from snapdeal, amazon too
Anyways this is a great buy for 3.5k, the only con is horrible backup

I didnât change anything.
Once 498H goes OoS, Flipkart automatically redirects it to 498. Now both are OoS.

Iâm a dumb man using a smart phone. Donât want to get into trouble. Is it possible to get an offline installer package? Used to get them for my Redmi 1S updates. Does Google release something like that?

If you are completely stock and on build LMY48M [check in settings]
You can directly download the update from here and flash through stock recovery

First Download the update and place it in sd card
1.Power off your device and wait 4-5 seconds after lights go off.
2.Press and hold Power + Volume Up button together for a few seconds and then release the buttons as soon as you see the boot menu screen
â In boot menu, use Volume Up scroll between options and Volume Down to confirm (OK) an option. [there should be recovery option]
3. When you click that, you will see exclamation mark
To bring up the Recovery menuâ˘Power+VolUp to show recovery menu
â˘Must be this sequence Press/Hold Power, THEN Press/Release VolUp, release Power
Within menuâ˘VolUp to move up
â˘VolDn to move down
â˘Power to select
If power+volume up doesnât work, try power+volume down
4. Once stock recovery shows up, select âInstall zip from sd cardâ and select the downloaded file and flash it
Power button is for selection, volume up and down for navigation

What makes you think I can do this properly?
EDIT: With Redmi it was just⌠paste the zip file in a specific location, go to updates and select the zip file for installation. Can Google not come up with something as simple?
