Hearing loss is something that is so common among audiophiles and its so rarely discussed because it is in a way shameful….like being a chef and losing the sense of taste…..and it’s not even well researched for lack of data as the audiophile industry is a relatively young one.

TLDR; Life is too short to be be assigning yourself stereotypes and being stuck up on a high horse. I’ve known quite a few people who silently own and love basshead headphones but behave like the stereotypical audiophile. And, I’ve personally realised that the title of an audiophile is just as empty as that of the Valentine’s day….meaningless….created and popularised to extort more and more money.

1. I don’t engage in audiophile stuff on this forum unless anyone asks me personally via PM or tags me.
2. I seldom refer to myself as an audiophile. True I did in this this thread coz a reference was made at audiophiles.
3. I never pretended to ride a ‘high horse’. Ask those who PMed me in-numerous times regarding any stuff and my advice has been inclined towards the most VFM. More money doesn’t mean better or justify the higher cost most of the time.
4. In reference the this thread. the iem in question is hardly anything serious and the most importantly, is really shit in my opinion. The excessive bass overpowers almost everything. That’s not even anything near a good iem. And that is not a prejudice. So why not stick to the subject rather than sling mud on each other?
5. Yeah, I have a bass can. I modded my own Fostex and do enjoy it sometimes when I desire to listen to EDM.
6. I am sorry for your condition. Loss of hearing has often come up whenever I chat p with my audiophile friends and hence we all agreed that as much we care about our equipment the same attention should to our ears too.

If you like bass the tekfusion twinwoofers mentioned in this thread is quite good. But if you are not a basshead. Xiaomi piston 3/Xiaomi basic/Sennheiser Cx180/Soundmagic ES18 and some KZ iems have already been discussed here at lengths. Search the KZ thread here. Xiaomi basic and Cx180 and ES18 is quite balanced while piston 3 has low bass but very open clear sound same with KZ ED10/ATE. A friend has a KZ ZN1mini and he praises it a lot too.

@myliferockkss got a new pair of KZ. Ask him.

As for Tekfusion subwoofers, I dont see them available on flipkart or amazon (I dont trust other sites with originality). So I guess Cx180 is better option for me. Any idea if Cx213 is better than Cx180?

KZs are awesome…. I got my ed10 just a week back and after burning them for 24 hours the sound improved a lot… I have tried KZ ATEs too… they sound similar to ed10 and has lil more bass….
