Could someone tell me what’s this? Automatic delivery? I mean a product has to be bought at a certain time of month, for every month?
From Amazon US “The discount you receive for each order is calculated using the item price on the day each order is placed. If the price of the item increases or decreases, the amount you’re charged may also increase or decrease”
Terms & Conditions for Amazon.in
“Some of the offer details may change as you receive deliveries over time (for example, prices offered by sellers, taxes, availability). "
When will amazon bring “Dash button” to India

Was going to write Indians but I thought it would’ve offended people, so wrote ‘few’.

The first S&S order will be locked at the price which you had ordered. But from next subscription on wards it will be the price on the day of billing.

The wording on Amazon.in is ambiguous at best, they will have to clarify or better phrase it for next set of monthly orders. I’m sure many others, like me, would not want to pay too much more than what we’d originally subscrubed for!

You first subscription would be the same price..But from the second subscription it would be the price on day of billing which would be after 22nd of the month I believe.

I get that but the US site’s T&C are much clearer & way less conspicuous btw they mention this in the email & therefore should be worth a note on the site as well
When you sign up for a Subscribe & Save subscription, the discount will be calculated off the seller’s price on Amazon.in on the day each order is placed. Therefore, if the price of the item increases or decreases, the amount you are charged will also increase or decrease.

I don’t think there is anything ambiguous. They are just saying that the price won’t be the same for everyone placing orders at different instances. There are many who would go to CC saying that “I am being charged high but my friend has got it at a lesser price”

So therefore, if I’m getting you correctly, say two members have the same subscription fulfillment date (like April 26 in my case) they’ll get the same item(s) at the exact same price? Seems fair as such, otherwise it;ll be a whole can of bad worms for them.

It’s not about the subscription fulfillment date but the date and time when you have ordered. Say I order an item ‘X" for Rs.10 now and after a couple of hours it increases to 12 and you order it. So our fulfillment date will be the same but our final price will be different. You can’t go to amazon saying someone else got it at a lesser price. Anyway that should have been obvious but they have just added that in case people try to fight for the difference.
Why should it be bad for them? If a product is from multiple sellers and if one seller was offering at a lesser price and is out of stock amazon can’t ask other sellers to sell at the same price? Even now it is the same right? You can only get what you see on the page and amazon won’t price match it here in India.

Well that’s just for the first month (as you said previously it’s locked right?) but I;m saying it for the subsequent months.

Oh yes definitely. Both of us will be charged the same price.
All different varieties, bro. The instinct to save and the urge to pay less than others is common among all nationalities/races.
