Zoom gets Pan-India license to Offer Phone Services to Businesses: Details

Zoom, the communications technology company has announced that it has secured a Pan-India license to offer its Zoom Phone services to businesses and multinational corporations (MNC) in India. The Zoom Phone service provides businesses with the benefits of doing reliable call management via chat, video, voice, and conference rooms for their users and clients. Until now, Zoom Phone services in India weren’t available yet and businesses had to rely on partners like Microsoft and Cisco.

The good news now is that the Indian government has finally given approval to Zoom Inc to offer its Zoom Phone service in India.

The billion dollars worth of Zoom Video Communications Inc (ZVC) partners with international telecommunication providers and offers phone numbers and calling plans in 47 countries and territories bundled with cloud PBX service.

“With these licenses, the company will be able to offer its cloud-based private branch exchange (PBX) service 'Zoom Phone' to multinational corporations (MNCs) and businesses operating in India,” the company said.

"ZVC India, parent firm Zoom Video Communications, Inc, has received the Unified License with Access – pan India, NLD National Long Distance, and ILD – International Long Distance from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT)," the company said in a statement.

"With Zoom Phone, India businesses, and MNCs can support flexible work environments, foster greater collaboration among employees and elevate the customer experience,” said Sameer Raje, ZVC general manager and head, of India and SAARC region.”

In simpler terms, Zoom Phone offers you as a business to easily manage your communications with your users or clients via meetings, voice, video, chat, or conference rooms.

The price of Zoom Phone service in India depends on the number of users and the features that you opt for. Hence for the same reason, the pricing on Zoom Phone in India is personalized for each business enterprise.

However, in US dollars, Zoom Phone services start at $120 per year per user.
