Zomato has launched an exciting feature for the upcoming Mother’s Day on 12th May. Now order photo cakes on Zomato and get them delivered to your doorstep in under 30 minutes, says Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of the food delivery company. Zomato which tasted its first ever profit of 2 Crore in Q1 FY24 & quickly soared to a profit of 138 Crore in Q3 FY24 has launched a brand new feature for the upcoming Mother’s Day. The feature is called Zomato Photo Cakes and it simply stands true to its name. Customers can order cakes with a picture of their choice printed on it. Zomato claims the delivery time of these photo cakes to be under 30 minutes.

A more light hearted update for today – we just launched Photo Cakes on @zomato – now you can upload your picture and get a customized cake delivered in about 30 minutes.

Customers can find the Zomato Photo Cakes feature on the Zomato app. Simply click on the search bar on top, and type in “Photo Cake” to get results of restaurants and outlets delivering Mother’s Day special photo cakes to your place.

The prices of Zomato Photo Cakes depend on the restaurant or outlet you are ordering from as well as the location of your place. But largely speaking, the cake's prices start at ₹679 & go as high as ₹1400 for 500gm of a cake & ₹1800 for 1 kg of a photo cake which might feel a bit expensive to some. Currently, it is said that the Photo Cakes feature on Zomato is only available in Delhi NCR. However, I could see the feature live here in Mumbai as well. Some of the cities covered or will be covered soon in the Zomato Photo Cakes feature include Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ahmedabad. The feature is currently unavailable in cities like Kanpur, Surat, etc.

To order a Photo Cake on Zomato, follow the steps shared below:

1. Open the Zomato app

2. On the top, in the search bar, type in “Photo Cake” (in the Delivery section)

3. You will be presented with a list of restaurants and outlets to choose from

4. Choose any one and scroll down a bit to find a listing of Photo Cake

5. The feature sometimes is seen under the “Mother’s Day Special” range

6. Select the cake of your choice and upload your choice of photo

7. Preview the cake and place the order
