Zomato can soon start Movies & Events Ticket Booking as Paytm plans to Sell this segment!

Zomato is reportedly in discussions with Paytm to acquire its movie and event (Paytm Insider) ticket booking business. This potential acquisition aligns with Zomato's strategy to diversify its offerings and create a broader ecosystem beyond food delivery. Paytm, on the other hand, has been focusing on its core fintech services, and divesting its ticketing business could streamline its operations and allow it to concentrate on financial services and payments.

The ticketing business of Paytm has been significant, handling bookings for movies, sports, music, and comedy events. It has partnered with major cinema chains and sports teams, establishing a substantial presence in the Indian entertainment market.
