Now you can even share voice messages via Whatsapp Status! It is currently available for Limited Android Beta users so update Whatsapp to know if you have got it or not. However, All Users can Listen to Voice Statuses of their contacts after Updating Whatsapp.
Many users are getting the ‘hold to record video’ popup, but are unable to go ahead. Not to worry, it will soon be available as testing is proceeding quickly. However, some Whatsapp Beta users will succeed.
How to Keep a Voice Status on Whatsapp?
Currently, Whatsapp Voice Status is only available to some of its Android Beta users. However, it will be rolled out soon to all users.
Update Whatsapp
Go in ‘Status’
Select the ‘text’ icon
You will see a ‘hold to record audio’ popup on the bottom right
Select the ‘microphone’ icon, and you are ready to go!

You can even delete a recording before or after sharing in status. Besides, the recording limit is the same as the video one i.e. 30 seconds. Also, the Voice Status Limit is set to 24 hrs.
One more addition here is Status Privacy. You can select any 1 from 3 options i.e. My Contacts, My Contacts Except, and Only Share with.
