The Infinix Note 40 Pro 4G is going to be a toned-down version of the Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus 5G. There are not many details about the phone. However, as per leaks and rumours, the Infinix Note 40 Pro 4G is likely going to boast a Helio G99 processor which interestingly is also present in the Infinix Note 12 Pro 4G that costs about ₹16,000 currently. Of course, at that price, the processor & the phone are not worth it. The price of the Infinix Note 40 Pro 4G is pretty hard to guess as there are barely any confirmed details out about the phone. Ideally, given that Infinix has been releasing some good value-for-money phones, we are hoping the brand to price the upcoming smartphone from ₹10,000 to ₹15,000.

Probably one of the most buzzing smartphone releases in April is going to be POCO F6 5G. The POCO F6 5G is going to be a global launch as well as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo which is going to be available in China. The phone is going to arrive with a Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 under its hood. The SD 8S Gen 3 chip is a downgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Yep, unlike what some people may believe, the 8S Gen 3 is more of a mid-range flagship killer than the flagship beast SD 8 Gen 3 itself. If we compare the two chipsets, one of the notable differences is in terms of video recording (SD 8 Gen 3 allows 4K at 120FPS recording unlike Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 which supports only 1080p at 240FPS). Nevertheless, POCO as we all know for its jaw-dropping aggressive pricing game, if the phone arrives at a price of around ₹35,000 to ₹40,000, it would surely be one of the best smartphones at that price.

While there are not many details out about the POCO F6 5G, rumours have it that the phone will boast a Sony IMX882 has a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel IMX355 ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Considering its predecessor, POCO F5 5G, the upcoming POCO phone feels like a good upgrade over the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 with its latest SD 8s Gen 3 with a 1.2M antutu score. Definitely, one of the top new smartphones in the month of April to keep an eye on.

The POCO F6 launch date in India is unconfirmed. However, the phone is highly anticipated to launch by the middle of April or April-end following the launch of its rebranded version, Redmi Note 13 Turbo in the Chinese market at the beginning of April.

The phone boasts India’s first 45W 5G smartphone as well and the brand claims the “segment’s most powerful chipset” Dimensity 6100+ with VC Cooling. Do note that Realme has promised to bring its new Realme 12X 5G under 12K. If we see currently, there’s one tough competitor to the Realme 12X 5G under 12K segment which by the way also comes with the same chipset. You might have guessed it, but we are talking about the Samsung F14 5G which also comes with Dimensity 6100+ and provides 4 years of OS updates with 5 years of security updates. It would be interesting to see how the Realme 12X stand its ground against Samsung’s budget king, the F15 5G.

Moving on to our list of the new upcoming smartphone launches in India, we have got one from Vivo. The Vivo T3X is expected to arrive in India in April. The Vivo T number series is a budget/entry-level series so if your budget is about 15,000 rupees, this might be a new mobile phone to look forward to. The Vivo T3X is expected to boast a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor, a 64MP triple camera along with a 44W charger. The phone is also expected to arrive with Android 14 out of the box and 1 year of OS upgrade with 2 years of security updates. Moreover, the battery is going to be pretty standard, i.e a 5000mAh battery. If we compare it to the Vivo T2X, the chipset is kind of an okayish upgrade (MTK 6020 vs MTK 7020), the triple camera in Vivo T2X however does seem to be a good upgrade over the dual cameras in Vivo T2X. Nevertheless, it is one of the upcoming smartphone launches in India that still doesn’t have any solid confirmation. So do take the above details with a pinch of salt.

iQOO Z9X is yet another rumoured upcoming smartphone releasing in India in a budget segment of Rs.25,000 to Rs.27,000. With launch offers, the phone might get priced even lower. The phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset along with a massive 6000mAh battery combined by an 80W fast charge. There are not many details about this phone and there’s no confirmation on its launch as of now, but what we do know is that the phone is tipped to launch in the month of April, sometime during the end of the month. It’s best to take this information with a grain of salt as there are pretty much no confirmatory reports on this upcoming smartphone launch in India.

The reason we have kept this particular smartphone launch at this spot is that we have mixed feelings about this one. Let me explain, the Edge 30 Fusion was more of an upper-midrange phone that currently starts above 34K and boasted a Snapdragon 888+ processor. Now, as per leaks and rumours, the Moto Edge 50 Fusion (supposedly a successor/upgrade) is reported to come with an SD 6 Gen 1. Now, of course, this sure doesn’t match up because if the phone does come with the MediaTek chipset, it would clearly be a downgrade from the SD 888+ processor. It's best to wait and let the brand reveal more details about this upcoming Motorola smartphone. Nevertheless, one thing that we know almost confidently is that the phone is launching in April alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Pro.

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra is probably the biggest upcoming smartphone highlight, not in terms of its popularity but rather in terms of the specifications & tech that the phone brings. The Oppo Find X7 Ultra is an upcoming smartphone in India that boasts itself as the number #1 camera phone in the world (as per a rank by DXOMark which is also a reputed tech testing lab for over 15 years) Not just that, the chipset is expected to be Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 along with a gorgeous 2K+ resolution AMOLED display. Needless to say, this premium flagship phone from Oppo is going to boast UFS 4.0 storage and 100W super fast charging. Oppo has released a press release where the brand has revealed the design and a few other details of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra. From what we have seen so far, the phone sure looks like a banger (not just from the outside but also from the inside).
