Samsung India has now officially announced the launch of Galaxy Flip 7 and Galaxy Fold 6 phone in India. These are the flagship, the latest & greatest foldable phones from Samsung. In the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 (July) event today, Samsung announced its brand new Galaxy Flip 6, Z Fold 6, Galaxy Ring, Samsung Watch 7 and Ultra and announced Galaxy AI coming to 200 million devices this year. Clearly, there’s a lot that Samsung has unpacked in its event. But in this article, we will specifically focus on the new Samsung Flip 6 and Fold 6 launch date in India, price, comparison and see what new features are been added.

Samsung on July 10th, Wednesday at 6:30 PM went live on its YouTube Channel & Samsung's official website to stream its Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event held in Paris, France. Those who missed it can still watch the full event on YouTube.

During the event, we got to see Galaxy AI mostly being at the forefront whether it be the newly announced Galaxy Watch 7 or Ultra or the Galaxy Flip 6 foldable smartphone. Annika Bizon, Marketing and Omnichannel Director announced the launch of Samsung Flip 6 in India and Fold 6 in India.

The wait has finally come to an end for many Samsung fans. Expect to see the all new Galaxy Flip 6 in India starting from date July 24th. The Galaxy Flip 6 is an upgraded version of the Flip 5 which was launched last year and was highly appreciated by critics and experts for the massive improvements Samsung made it in terms of providing a more stronger hinge or making the cover screen more useful than just using it for viewing clock, date, battery or notifications.

The Galaxy Fold 6 phone launch date in India is also going to be July 24th. Again, the new Fold 6 phone from Samsung will be bringing features like Galaxy AI, 7 years of OS Upgrades, 7 years of security updates, enhanced live translation, better processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 over SD 8 Gen 2 in previous Fold 5.

Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 in India is here and the question of the hour is “What’s new? What’s new in this “brand new Galaxy Flip 6?” Well, on paper, here are some key differences between Flip 6 vs Flip 5.

The most clear upgrade in Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 over Flip 5 is its processor. You get the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in Flip 6 along with the first-ever Vapour Chamber cooling in the Z Flip phone. There are also a ton of AI features packed in the new Flip 6. Thanks to Galaxy AI, users can now use enhanced live translation during calls, in-person or in text messages. Moreover, you can simply use the S-pen to draw any object on top of a photo and make it appear (realistically) using AI. There’s also another cool feature of personalised AI wallpapers wherein the wallpaper on your cover screen of Galaxy Z Flip 6 adapts to weather, day or night time.

Samsung is also promising 7 years of OS upgrades and 7 Years of Security Updates so that’s pretty commendable as well (if they follow what they have promised). The wide-angle camera has also been upgraded from 12MP in Galaxy Flip 5 to 50MP in Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Samsung Fold 6 is an upgrade over the Fold 5 smartphone. The Samsung Fold 6 in comparison to Fold 5 comes with improved performance and camera. The brightness nits have also been upgraded to 2600 nits peak brightness over 1750 nits previously in the Z Fold 5.

Samsung also claimed to have used new technology in their foldable smartphone displays to further enhance their screen durability. Interestingly, the same tech has also made the display and bezels of the Galazy Z Fold 6 thinner than the previous Galazy Z Fold 5. The processor is Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the ultimate flagship presently. Of course, one cannot go wrong with the SD 8 Gen 3 performance and efficiency in handling all the Galaxy AI features.

Sadly, during the entire Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, there was no mention of making the Samsung Galaxy Z foldable phones dust-resistant which a lot of users were hoping for from the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 launch in India.

The Samsung Galaxy Flip series has come a long way since its first appearance with the Galaxy Z Flip phone in the year 2020. These phones surely kind of helped Samsung and other mobile companies to further progress the trend of foldable smartphones in India & globally. Until…users started flooding the internet with their foldable smartphone complaints - how their Galaxy Flip 3 screen would start to flicker in just 1 month or how their OnePlus Open foldable smartphone has its screen protector separating.

Luckily, over the years, foldable smartphones have improved but it's still a pretty new, expensive & fragile tech to use daily. With the launch of the new Samsung Flip 6 and the new Samsung Fold 6 launch in India, users are sure to have some high expectations from the brand.
