Samsung A25 & Samsung A15 Launched in India | Should You Buy?

Samsung today launched two new smartphones in its A series, the Samsung A25 and Samsung A15 in India. In this article, we will discuss everything from the Samsung A25 & A15 launch, price, and specs to our take on whether the Samsung A25 is a good phone to buy. Brace yourself for a spoiler alert (literally) the new Samsung A25 phone packs an Exynos 1280 processor, the same, 2-year-old processor found in all these models: Samsung M33, M34, and F34. The plot twist? Samsung M34 at Rs.16,500 currently has almost the same specs as the new Samsung A25 at Rs.27,000. But there’s some hope, the Samsung Galaxy A15.

Samsung A25 and Samsung A15 launch date is December 27th, 2023 in India. Both of these phones have marked their arrival on the same day. Interestingly, both are from the same series A too. The Samsung A Series phones generally swing between budget to mid-range as compared to the Samsung S Series which is considered the premium flagship range.

The launch event of Samsung A25 and Samsung A15 was already confirmed by the company some days back and at the time of writing, the Samsung S25 is out of stock on the brand’s official website for all variants. Nevertheless, Samsung hasn’t revealed much about the Samsung A25 price in India and the Samsung A15 price. But, here’s what we know so far about that.

The price of both of these phones is officially revealed by Samsung. As per the press release, the Samsung A25 price in India is Rs.27,000 for the 256GB variant and the Samsung A15 price in India is to Rs.19,499 for the 128GB variant. Note that this price is after using bank offers.

The Samsung A25 & the Samsung A15 are currently not available on Amazon & Flipkart. The newly launched Samsung phones are only available to shop on the Samsung official website. But customers can expect both the phones to go live on Amazon and Flipkart soon.

The Samsung A25 is not that much of a worthy buy at a price of Rs.27,000 (256 GB) or Rs.24000 (128 GB) for several reasons.

First, a 2-year-old 5nm Exynos processor is not at all acceptable in a phone at this price.

Second, this same processor and specs are available in the Samsung M34 5G at 16.5K currently (except for stereo speakers) which puts the Samsung A25 price of Rs.27,000 at a big question.

Third, the POCO F5, iQOO Z7 Pro, and Moto Edge 40 are far better than the Samsung A25 at 27K.

Fourth, if you are a hardcore Samsung fan, you might even consider the Samsung S21 FE which is currently available for just 3K-4K extra & offers far more superior specs than Samsung A25.

Fifth, the phone comes with a waterdrop notch display. So, bottom line? The Samsung A25 smartphone is not worth buying at this price.

What about the Samsung A15? We would say it's not completely a value-for-money deal since again you can get some better options at the same price such as POCO X5 Pro 5G, Realme 11 Pro 5G & more. But at least, it is still understandable given Samsung’s traditional overpricing, frequent OS updates, good software experience, good display, etc. Better than the Samsung A25, certainly.

Many users were anticipating the Samsung A25 launch in India. Thanks to Samsung A14 setting the expectations high with its Exynos 1330 processor, 6000 mAh battery, expandable storage up to 1TB, 2 OS updates & 4 years of Security Updates, all under 14K (& even lesser during the Big Billion Days sale). Now, for modern users who prefer performance-oriented phones, the Samsung A series is clearly not made for those. One of the biggest selling points of these series is usually Samsung’s frequent updates, a decent processor for normal tasks/normal gaming, great camera quality & software.
