Paytm membership complete details: Paytm Classic, Paytm Pro, Pro Max

Paytm might just be testing its loyalty program in India. Recently, one of the dimers from our community shared with us some insider screenshots of the Paytm Loyalty Program. Let’s discuss what we know so far about the expected Paytm Classic, Paytm Pro, and Paytm Pro Max Membership and what Paytm Loyalty offers exactly.

Paytm Classic, Paytm Pro Membership, and Paytm Pro Max Membership were recently spotted in the Paytm app by one of our users. These new Paytm memberships promise users more extra cashback and cashback points as well as some more “exclusive” deals.

On 18th September, our user @Gagsingh posted a “Paytm Pro Max” exclusive deal that is offering a 12-month subscription to Amazon Prime for 15,000 Paytm Cashback Points. 1 Paytm cashback point is equal to 10 paise and hence these 15000 cashback points are equal to Rs.150 currently. Normally, the Amazon Prime annual subscription price is Rs.1499.

And as mentioned above, this is only a Paytm Pro Max exclusive deal. So what is Paytm Pro membership even? Let’s get to it.

Paytm Pro membership is supposedly going to be Paytm’s loyalty program that promises users more cashback benefits as well as some “exclusive deals and offers.” The feature seems to be currently in the testing phase and is available to only a few accounts.

Paytm Classic is a starting membership level that a user has to complete in order to become a Paytm Pro Max member. There are not many details revealed about it yet but it would likely require the users to complete a certain amount of transactions in order to proceed to the next level which is “Paytm Pro.”

While the Paytm Classic membership may only provide you with some basic deals, that's not what we do in our Recharge & Payments Deals Group. 🔥

Paytm Pro offers more premium benefits over Paytm Classic and as per the banner revealed in the screenshot of the membership, it also promises “exclusive welcome benefits worth Rs.75,000” With the Paytm Pro membership, a user gets 1 cashback point for every Rs.100 spent, welcome benefits worth Rs.75000 and exclusive jackpot to participate & win cars, bikes and smartphones.

As you can see in the screenshots attached above, the Paytm Pro membership requires you to complete a goal of 75 payments and the Rs.75000 amount spent to proceed to the next ultimate membership level is Paytm Pro Max.

Additionally, to stay a Paytm Pro member, users would need to make at least 75 payments and make 10 payments worth Rs.4000 amount in 90 days.

Paytm Pro Max membership is the most premium Paytm membership level that offers its users even more cashback benefits as well as “VIP excess to limited inventory deals.” An example of such a Paytm Pro Max deal is this:

• Welcome benefits worth Rs.75000

• VIP access to limited inventory deals

• Exclusive jackpot to participate & win cars, bikes, and smartphones

• Priority customer support

So, this is all about sharing the Paytm Pro membership, its perks and benefits, and what users can expect to see in their Paytm app soon.

This is not the first time Paytm has tried to introduce a membership for its users. A few years ago, Paytm launched its Paytm First membership which cost approx Rs.750, and provided offers on OTT, flights, etc. That didn’t seem to work that well for the finance and payments tech, Paytm.

Paytm showed strong growth in the financial year 2023 boasting a revenue of ₹7,990 Cr as compared to ₹2802 Cr in FY21. As compared to its competitors such as Phonepe and GooglePay, Paytm still lands in the 3rd position in the UPI apps market share in India despite the strong growth. With a new loyalty program, and the growing UPI app, Paytm may get to attract and retain more users in the coming time.

However as mentioned above, this Paytm Pro membership at present is just a supposed feature that Paytm might introduce. There’s no confirmation or any announcement made by Paytm with regards to the same.

If Paytm manages to bring its Paytm loyalty program or Paytm Pro membership program, it would probably be the only UPI payments app to have a tier-based membership.
