Nothing's PR machine is back at work, prior to the release of its first smartphone, nothing has dropped another vital information for buyers. This time with a new film describing the design and production process. Although the utilization of recycled aluminum elements is intriguing, the most interesting information comes near the conclusion, when it is revealed that the Nothing phone (1) would be offered first by invitation only. For the uninitiated, the OnePlus One was first offered using the same technique.

Nothing Phone (1) to be available via an invite-only system

The business discusses the production process of the future smartphone in the 15-minute video. It reveals that the company used recycled aluminum in the manufacture of this handset. Nothing, according to the ad, would ensure that the first individuals to receive the smartphone are those "in the community," the "those who deserve it the most." The corporation is "more than eager to open broader" once "they're pleased."

This method will help the company to avoid stockpiling by producing more than the needed number of units. Furthermore, it provides purchasers a distinctive feeling and creates a stir among the others. Furthermore, Nothing Phone (1) will not be available for purchase in the United States. "While we'd love to provide Phone 1 to the whole community throughout the world," according to the official statement, "we're focused on home markets, particularly the UK and Europe."To generate interest in the device, the business held an auction for Nothing Phone (1), selling the first 100 units. These phones will be limited editions with a serialized number engraved on the side.

How to get invited to Buy Nothing Phone (1)

Nothing, according to Pei, wants "at least some" phones in people's hands, which is why the business decided that the Nothing Phone 1 will first sell through an invite system "so that individuals who deserve it the most will be able to buy it in the beginning."

For those wondering how the invite system would operate, the business has indicated that it wants to ensure that the Nothing Phone 1 is available to early backers and community members first. Once it is completed, the business will increase production and the Phone 1 will become more widely accessible.

We are yet unsure of the specific terms of the invite system that the firm plans to adopt, but we will keep you updated on how things progress in the coming months.

Given how bad the launcher is, keep your hopes very low. I expect an under specced overpriced phone which would find very few buyer.

Disappointed by 7 series sd. If it had flagship specs I'd have bought it.

As per Pei -- "Nothing Phone 1 will first sell through an invite system so that individuals who deserve it the most will be able to buy it in the beginning."

Dimers will become deserving post 'heavy' discounts as we understand the 'value' 😄

Invite system would create a stir if they can give 8th gen snapdragon 1 below 20k like how oneplus one and poco f1 did during their launch. If its a mid range processor with no value for money then it will be a disaster with such an invite system in 2022.

Even better, Jio strategy, give free phone for close to 2 years and then pay 199 inr per month to keep the phone working or else they lock it from their side. Maximum 3 phones per person. 1.5 billion*3 potential phone sale in a year.

Apart from multiple LEDs(on mobile’s back which is transparent), there is Nothing differentiator in it. This is being launched in multiple countries, so it could find sellers in other countries, but not in our country India unless they price it very-very aggressively.

if it comes at 25k then many will be interested.

778+ won’t be there in 25k range. Then 120hz OLED panel. Then wireless charging. Then they’re also hyping up on the back LED thing which acts as camera flash, notification LED, etc etc. So I’m thinking easily 28k or 30k for base model.

Or if they have some hidden big investor, then maybe they can go OnePlus way for quick success by keeping it 25k now and increasing 2k-3k every year.
