One of the most anticipated OTT releases this week is going to be Parasyte: The Grey debuting on Netflix on 5th April. Notably, on the same date, the Siddharth, Garima-directed movie, Dukaan (a story about a girl who becomes a surrogate mother) is releasing with actors including Monali Thakur, Monika Panwar, Sikandar Kher & others. The TV serial is based on a typical, relatable family drama that at times struggles to differentiate from being too predictable. Lambasingi is a recently released romance drama movie on Disney+ Hotstar. A Telugu film that is filmed on the scenic beauty of the Lambasingi village in Andhra Pradesh. Though as per critics, the film falls inadequate in capturing the natural and sole essence of the village’s beauty. Nevertheless from a story perspective, the film is about a rookie officer Veerababu who falls in love with a local girl. What follows next are challenges when Naxalites assassinate the local MLA and somehow it leads Veerababu to dig deeper into the mysterious past of the local girl. Probably not a banger of a new OTT this week, but might be worth giving a watch.

Moving on to our list of the new and upcoming OTT releases in the April 1st week, we have a spooky documentary newly released on Netflix that will keep you at the edge of your seats. If you have watched the popular TV series Explained, you might be happy to know that Files of the Unexplained is a documentary by the same creators. Describing the documentary, Netflix wrote, “Group disappearances, ghosts, mysterious blobs. All across North America, ordinary people experience extraordinary and bizarre phenomena that seemingly can’t be explained or can they?” Personally, it sounds like a promising, newly released OTT on Netflix.

Finally, a brand new OTT this week on Prime Video is How to Date Billy Walsh, a romantic-comedy movie that stars Charithra Chandran as Amelia and Sebastian Croft as Archie. The two are best friends since childhood and Archie has hid his feelings for Amelia for years. However, resembling how these “childhood one-side love stories” often work, luck never seems to be on Archie’s side. Just when he gathers a sea worth of courage to express his feelings to Amelia, she is suddenly now interested in the new American transfer student, Billy Walsh.
