ambani said that it is an optimized android version which means it is almost likely to come with ‘go’ edition. If we look closely at the phone, it says “go” in the camera app icon in the apps shown in it. It could be the ‘camera go’ app. ‘go’ apps are designed for ‘go edition’.

my estimate is that the price may be 3497/-

phone price 1999/- and 1498/- worth jio bundle plan benefits can be given with 2 years validity. same as the bundle plan given with the jiophone keypad phone now.

It’s not for u if: u r working in a corporate, filling ITR every year, having good bank balance, having knowledge of all OS n using android from a long time now!!

It’s for : those who wants to watch movies in phones (they don’t hv Netflix normal YouTube one), those getting salary as “CASH” in hand daily/weekly/monthly not having security of anything job house etc ..

N if one is falling in this category then I don’t think he will ever complaint about this (upcoming) phone…

This is for those who don’t buy things online… Don’t hv knowledge of all this technology advancement n all…

So, this will be a open sale for everyone bt but not intended for u if u r planning to loot then it’s not a loot dear…
It’s for those who r buying android lollipop nougat version devices from local shops for 5-8k

(my personal opinion not targeting anyone)

the back and speaker look cheap plastic from 2010 Chinese phones around 2K. They collaborated with google maybe to provide google one subscription for 6 months (or as long as the first jio recharge lasts) just like the one you get on timesprime and expect the first sim port to be locked for jio only. They didn’t mention ram so maybe it’s around 1 GB.

Jio phones bought by poorer ppl were such a curse that they had to end up buying another brand phone.

Unless it comes with sizeable benefits from Jio, most people would be better off spending 2k more and getting a low end android phone from one of the established vendors.

Exactly! Its aimed for daily wagers, low income groups that still use a feature phone. It could help in more digitization. With privatization of banks to come, I see one one of the privatized banks joining Jio and Google for providing financial services.

For regular folks on the forum that are used to using modern fast smartphones, this would only serve as a burner phone. Nothing more!

I would probably use it as a GPS tracker and for navigation in my car.

AGMs normally are all show, no go. Only bluffing and bs to impress audience.

None of the presented plans and content turned out to be as good as they were estimated or claimed… Except financials.

No product nor services are anywhere close to what is showcased in AGMs.

Try finding how jiophones, lyf branded phones and jiofi devices turned out to be. Or even jio service.

All jhumlas…

I am talking about reliance AGMs.

without financing for only ₹6499 rolleyes we can get much better phones using bank offers that support any network … and the last but not the least …. its better to use Samsung guru for seamless experience …. jiophone is nothing but a toy ….

Samsung m01 core has same spec selling for 5999 for 2 gb and 4999 for 1 gb comes with same 28nm processor which is from 2016. Better to get infinix , realme c series or lava z2 or redmi or techno camo series type of phones. That has 12nm or 8nm processor which gives better battery life also costs same as the upfront cost of this phone with specs from 2015.
Worst phone to buy if you are planning to get upfront by paying 6499.
As said above would be good for daily wagers who don’t care about screen quality or processor.
