These were all the important features of the Jio 4G Phone, Jio Bharat V2. In terms of features, Jio Bharat 4G Phone offers some great features at an unbeatable price of Rs.999.
With a price of Rs.999, the Jio Bharat 4G Phone is the cheapest feature phone in India currently that comes with high capabilities like UPI Payments, expandable storage, OTT entertainment, etc.
It’s possible competitors, Nokia 105, and Nokia 106 keypad phones start above Rs.1500, and other ones like the Itel SG600 keypad phone is currently priced at Rs.1898. Keypad phones with UPI payments market is already limited to only a few players and models. It’s safe to say that Jio Bharat 4G Phone with this price would be tough competition to beat in the segment.
The Jio Bharat 4G Phone would require users to use Jio Bharat Plans. Because the Jio 4G Phone is Jio SIM locked, you of course cannot use any other operator’s recharge plans.
Currently, Jio has launched two Jio Bharat Plans, a monthly plan (Rs.123) and an annual plan (Rs.1234). Let’s have a look at what these two plans are and how much the Jio Bharat 4G Phone recharge plans cost.
Plan Comparison
Jio Bharat
Other Operator
Unlimited Voice Jio Bharat Plan
Rs.123 per 28 days, 14GB data
Rs.179 per 28 days, 2GB data
Annual Jio Bharat Plan
Rs.1234, 168GB data
Rs.1799, 24GB data
As you can see the Jio Bharat recharge plans start at Rs.123 per month (28 days) and as per Jio, the Jio Bharat Plans are 30% less costly with 7 times more data as compared to other operators.
Jio Bharat 4G Phone Comparison
Jio Bharat 4G compared to other keypad phones that support UPI Payments is a much cheaper option. Not only cheaper, the Jio 4G Phone also offers similar or even better features in some cases. Below is a quick comparison of Jio Bharat 4G Phone vs Nokia 105 4G Keypad phones and other competitors that also offer UPI Payments functionality.
If you are considering buying the Jio Bharat 4G Phone and wondering if the Jio 4G Phone is worth buying or not? Then let us help you figure this out. Jio Bharat V2, the newly launched keypad phone is currently the cheapest 4G feature phone in India supporting UPI Payments and a massive memory support of up to 128 GB. There’s barely (or none) any feature phone in this price range offering the same specs.
However, while we have considered the pros of Jio 4G Phone, it is important to know the cons too.
The Jio Bharat Phone has a camera of 0.3 MP which is equal to being non-existent. Though still considerable in this price range. Because the Jio 4G Phone is Jio SIM Locked, you cannot use any other operator’s network which may be a con for those who are users of other telco operators than Jio.
Apart from this, the Jio 4G Phone is also a single SIM. So you can only use 1 SIM in your Jio Bharat Mobile.
Overall, given its biggest pros like expandable storage up to 128 GB, 4G Connectivity, JioCinema OTT support, and most affordable price, the Jio 4G Phone (Jio Bharat V2) is worth buying only if your budget is low, you have less data usage requirements, and your main requirement is calling and connectivity.
Otherwise, if you can increase your budget to Rs.5000 or Rs.6000, you can get even better phones with a much better functionality than Jio Bharat 4G Phone.

It is yet unclear when the Jio Bharat V2 4G Phone will be launched on Amazon, Flipkart, and other e-commerce sites. Currently, the Jio Bharat 4G Phone is available online to be viewed on Jio’s official website.
So this was all about Jio Bharat 4G Phone at Rs.999 launching in India. The newly released keypad phone is receiving much praise from the tech community for being a good value-for-money feature phone as well as the cheapest 4G keypad phone in India presently in 2023.
Talking about the Jio 4G Phone release, Jio said “India still has 250 million mobile subscribers trapped in the 2G era with feature phones. These feature phones do not provide access to the internet, especially at a time when access to technology is a necessity which also uplifts one’s livelihood and economic well-being.”

Aapne launch hone se pehle hi use kar liya .
Pehle launch toh hone do public ke liye .
Past experience se aandaaz lagana thik hai , lekin judgement dene galat hain
Interestingly Jio has nowhere mentioned what OS the device is running on..but as per reports, under the "2G Mukt Bharat" and Jio Bharat Platform, Jio aims to sell feature phones built on Bharat OS..so the OS is likely to be Bharat OS and if not then likely KaiOS..
For feature phone users 2G is great and same sim card can be used for 3g and 4g and if in Airtel for 5G too
But jio lacks 2G and 3G toh 2G mukt bharat ka slogan de Diya so that sab ko jio ke kachra phone par depend rahna pade jiophone keypad is such a great thing you press failed then press very hard something else is pressed fingers irritating, they can never compete with smooth functioning light weight ultra slim 2G feature phones, 2G is lifeline of rural communication but they want to destroy everything for the sake of their profit and giving nefarious slogans like this mukt bharat and that mukt bharat
My past experience with jio phone is worst, totally messed keypad. they will never compete with Nokia feature phone , kaios is not optimised as compare to nokia symbian.
Bhai please read my reply comment to vrushali here in the thread . Its nothing personal or fighting from my side , but using Word Shitty where our country name Bharat is written is not good
This is weird. Jio doesn't even have 2G network. Not 2G mukt Bharat, it is non-Jio mukt Bharat. Besides most of those people don't even need all these things. What they might need are tariff plans without internet or the need for a monthly recharge.
Yeah jise zarurat nahi hai usko bhi zabardasti de rahe hai, are 2G era was golden era for rural people where they enjoyed unlimited free incoming and Rs.10 recharge was sufficient to make call or send sms for whole month for doing missed call or making some urgent 1 minute calls on per second plan even calls less then 1 minutes were possible, Jio destroyed them now they have to recharge every month unnecessarily
Worst phone ever
