The Digital Health Card 2022 program was introduced by the Indian government as part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. The health card is crucial because it enables users to securely record their digital medical history.
With the launch of the Digital Health Card 2022, the Indian government has begun the process of digitizing medical records. The health ID site, where this service is active, requires registration from users. Notably, the government declares that the individual would own their health records exclusively and will have the right to erase them at any moment.
What is a National Digital Health Card?
The Indian government wants to give each Indian resident a health ID card with a personal health account as part of the National Digital Health Mission. The new health id card will be fully digitally based and feature a special 14-digit health identification number. Each citizen's number will be distinct and varied.
The new digital ID is created in such a way that it includes all the necessary health-related data. It includes information about all diseases you may have had, diagnostic tests you may have undergone, results, and doctor-prescribed medications. All of the information, including prescriptions, will be entered into the health ID card each time you visit a doctor or pharmacy.
