Google Maps is getting a number of new features today, including the addition of toll prices. Through this feature, Google users will be able to learn the estimated toll price to their destination even before the trip begins.
Google Maps will estimate the total toll price to your destination based on parameters such as the cost of using a toll pass or other payment methods, the day of the week, and how much the toll is likely to cost at the particular moment the user will be crossing it, according to a press release.
Those who do not want to pay tolls, however, will be given the option of using a toll-free route. This may be done by selecting 'avoid tolls' from the three dots in the top right corner of Google Maps.
This capability will be available on Android and iOS smartphones in April for almost 2,000 toll roads in India, the United States, Japan, and Indonesia, with additional nations to follow soon, according to the business.
Google has also launched new improvements for iOS users, making it simpler to use Google Maps on an Apple Watch or iPhone. A new pinned trip widget, direct navigation from the Apple Watch, and Google Maps integration with Siri and the shortcuts app are among the new features.
Feature Introduced By Google Maps
The new pinned trip widget on iOS allows users to see the arrival time, next departure for their selected public transportation journey, and even a suggested route for those who want to drive.
Additionally, Apple Watch owners will soon be able to obtain directions directly from their Watch using Google Maps. Users will no longer need to navigate from their iPhones in a few weeks, according to Google, because pressing the Google Maps shortcut on their Apple Watch app will open navigation on the Apple Watch itself.

It's worth noting that the new features will only be accessible in the most recent version of the Google Maps app.
In the meanwhile, Google Maps has announced support for Spotlight, Siri, and the Shortcuts app for iOS. Simply say "Hey Siri, get directions" or "Hey Siri, search in Google Maps" to receive fast access to Google Maps' useful information. According to Google, this capability will be accessible in the coming months, with improved Siri search functionality arriving later this summer.
