Delhi Metro offers Free Tickets on Republic Day | Full details and How to book tickets

The Delhi Metro is offering free rides to people on Republic Day for all those who are attending the celebrations at Kartavya Path on 26th January. You will be issued tickets or coupons using which you can travel to three metro stations free of cost. These three stations are Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, and Mandi House.

During Republic Day this year, the general public will get to see a Republic Day Parade which is going to be held on Kartavya Path along with president Murmu hosting the national Indian flag.

To avail of the free tickets, you need to have an e-invitation card/e-ticket for the Republic Day 2023 event. Here’s how you can book tickets online for the Republic Day 2023 Event Parade in Delhi, Kartavya Path.

In order to facilitate people who are in possession of bonafide e-Invitation Cards/e-Tickets for attending the 74th Republic Day ceremony on 26th January 2023 at Kartavya Path, Delhi Metro will issue tickets (coupons) to them from its Metro stations across network free of cost.

How to Book Tickets for Republic Day 2023 Event Parade in Delhi, Kartavya Path

• Create an account on aamantran.mod.gov.in

• After registration, you will be redirected to a login page where you need to log in using your mobile number

• A verification code will be sent to you and after verification, you will be redirected to the events page

• You can then choose your desired event from the list of events available

• To avail the free tickets, you need to book for the Republic Day 2023 Parade event in Delhi

• After entering the details of the attendees, you’d need to add identity proofs

• Once done, you will be redirected to fulfill the payment.

• Upon successful payment, you will be sent your e-invitation tickets for the event

Remember, you can only book the tickets between 10 am-12:30 pm and 2 pm-4:30 pm.

You can show these e-invitation tickets at any metro station and collect your free tickets to Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, and Mandi House anytime from 4:30 am to 8:00 am on 26th January.

Do note that the exit from these tickets will only be allowed till 2 pm.

Commenting on the same, Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director of DMRC said the following, “After the conclusion of the R-Day ceremony, these e-invitation card/e-ticket holders can again get entry from Central Secretariat or Udyog Bhawan or Mandi House Metro station only and exit from originating Metro station of the Delhi Metro by showing the same ticket (coupon).”

Source: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced yesterday that people visiting the Republic Day Parade 2023 on Kartavya Path will receive tickets to three stations including the Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, and Mandi House free of cost.
