CMF label by Nothing on June 18th announced on its official X (formerly Twitter) account the confirmed launch date of CMF Phone 1 in India. As per it, the CMF Phone 1 launch in India is confirmed on 8th July along with CMF Buds Pro 2 & Watch Pro 2. What makes the CMF Phone 1 launch so popular is the fact that for the first time, Nothing is going to bring a budget smartphone (expected under ₹20,000) in India.

The price of CMF Nothing Phone 1 is what makes it a buzzing upcoming smartphone launch. As per leaks and rumours, its highly possible that Nothing would bring its CMF Phone 1 in a budget segment of Rs.20,000.

This would also make the CMF Phone 1 the first from the Nothing brand under a 20K price.

Earlier in the Flipkart Summer Sale this year in 2024, Nothing Phone 2A went live on its first-ever sale at a price of Rs.19,999. Later it was revealed by users that this discounted price fact included an exchange discount too. That was indeed a bummer.

Coming to CMF Phone 1, users have some high expectations especially after the box price of CMF Nothing Phone 1 (6GB / 128GB) has been leaked to have ₹19,999 price tag. This means the actual sale price with launch discounts might bring the phone’s price further down.

To put it simply, CMF Phone 1 is expected to be a rebranded & toned-down version of Nothing Phone 2A. Users can expect to say goodbye to the Glyph lights and the Nothing’s co-engineered SoC Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Pro.

Instead, we might be able to see the CMF Phone 1 chip to be powered by Mediatek Dimensity 7050. It's a budget-range chipset that we have seen in phones like Realme P1, Realme 12 Plus, Realme Narzo 70 Pro, and Lava Blaze Curve 5G. All of these phones are currently available around the same price range of Rs.17000 to Rs.20,000.

There’s also a possibility that the CMF Phone 1 chip will be powered by Mediatek Dimensity 7300, a successor to the MTK 7200 processor. There are leaks that also claim that the Nothing CMF Phone 1 will have an MTK Dimensity 7200 processor. However, only the upcoming Nothing event on July 8th, 2024 will tell us what the buzz is about.

The plastic back panel will also have an alternative option of vegan leather so users can choose for themselves which one they wish to go for. Expect to see multiple colour options too.

One thing that might be a bit off-putting in Nothing CMF Phone 1 would be its noticeable display bezels. Of course, the brand has to do some cost-cutting & display is probably the easiest choice for most brands.

Speaking of camera specs in CMF Phone 1, users can anticipate to see 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and 16MP front-facing selfie cam. The battery capacity is going to be pretty standard, about 5000mAh with a 33W charge.
