CES 2024 TV, Laptops & Smartphone Highlights of Samsung, LG, Sony & more

CES 2024 started on 9th January and is live till Friday, 12th January 2024. For those of you who do not know about CES or the Consumer Electronics Show, it is an event held every year in January where small & giant tech brands in the world like Samsung, Apple, Sony, LG, Phantom, etc showcase their innovations. In this article, we will be sharing some of the coolest CES 2024 TVs, laptops, mobile phones & accessories & some fancy innovations from top brands.

Until now most of us desired our TVs to be bigger, brighter, slimmer, smarter & what else? Well, the LG world’s first 4K wireless transparent TV is here to make you desire a transparent TV. LG is hands down one of the most innovative tech companies out there. If you remember, LG was also the first brand to launch a rollable OLED smart TV in the market for a staggering price of 67 Lakh rupees. However, interestingly as per the LG’s official website, the LG Signature Rollable OLED TV is discontinued.

Coming back to the LG transparent TV in CES 2024, it truly is a magnificent piece of technology with beautiful colours and, of course, a gorgeous, innovative 77-inch transparent display which may not be one of the best of LG’s display quality but we can’t deny that it still is a beautiful piece of tech. The coolest part about this is that the TV can also be transformed into a non-transparent screen depending on your needs. Customers can expect the LG transparent TVs to go commercial soon though there’s no confirmation of it yet or the pricing.

Those days aren’t that far when we will be getting to see some cool automated self-driving cars on the roads. LG showcased its modern-looking, self-driving car fitted with rollable displays, convertible spaces, AI, AR and a lot more. In a press release, LG said that its LG Alpha-able car will also allow passengers to completely transform the look of their car’s interior with the help of AR. Also, LG has already stepped its foot in the EV charging space too.

The much-awaited Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Super Series (enabled with AI) are definitely one of the top highlights of the CES event 2024. The company announced 3 Nvidia AI chips, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super which is 1.4X times faster than the RTX 3080 Ti (to be available from January 31st) and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super which is 1.6X faster than the RTX 3070 Ti (to be available from January 24th) and lastly, the RTX 4070 Super which boasts 20% more cores (to be available from January 17th)

AI is going to be a key focus for many tech companies and there’s no doubt about that. AMD Ryzen, the company that makes some of the most powerful processors in the world is all set to bring AI to its latest range of Ryzen 8000G series & Ryzen 5000 series. The company also claims that the new AI AMD Ryzen 8040 mobile chipset can beat the Intel Meteor Lake. Nevertheless, this was definitely one of the best highlights of the CES 2024 event.

Sony, the Japanese multi-billion dollar company introduced was one of the top highlights of the CES 2024 with its all new prototype of self-driving car, AFEELA brought on stage using a PlayStation DualSense controller.

Well, ahead of the launch of camera-centric flagships like Vivo X100 whose zoom gives a tough fight to the iPhone 15 Pro as well, the world’s first-ever smartphone-based telescope is here. Currently, the company Vaonis is running a Kickstarter campaign in the US and the pricing starts at $189 after a 24% discount. What is unique about this invention is that the company claims that the telescope can help take 5X more clear, crisp & sharp images of sunspots & lunar craters.

One of the biggest cons of OLED TVs is the display’s glare problem. Usually, when you view an OLED TV in a bright room, the screen doesn’t do any good a job of controlling the ambient light and you are left with some surrounding reflection on your screen. In CES 2024, Samsung flaunted its all-new anti-glare OLED smart TV which is not only glare-proof but also does so without compromising on the colours or the viewing angle.

At CES 2024, Samsung announced the world’s first 8K wireless projector with One Connect Box that comes with Wi-Fi 7 capabilities to seamlessly transmit up to 8K video or image in a 10-meter range. While there’s no information on the pricing of the device, it is going to be one of the premium models.

Samsung’s transparent LCD & OLED displays were also showcased during the CES Event 2024. These unlike LG’s transparent smart TVs cannot be transformed into non-transparent screens. However, it seems like these would be specifically useful for commercial spaces where businesses can demonstrate their products or enhance their ambience.

As we move ahead in tech advancements, one thing is for sure gaming is only going to get more immersive. Samsung in CES 2024 presented its gaming monitor which gives a 2D/3D gaming experience even without any special glasses. The monitor itself is built smart enough to understand eye & body moments to enhance the gaming experience. Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Acer unveiled some of the best laptops in CES 2024 from the all-new Acer Predator Helios 18 to Acer Aspire 3D 15 Spatial Lab Edition. In the Aspire 3D 15 Spatial edition, the company combines both that of a 3D screen (without glasses) & a powerful performance. This would be especially useful for designers, architects or those who render 3D models, etc.

Calling out for all the social media influencers or those who love to film themselves, you are probably going to love this particular invention of CES 2024. Last but not least, the Lenovo Smart Concept Keyboard & Mouse are one of the best highlights of CES 2024. Both the keyboard and mouse are taking the energy efficiency game to the next level. How? Well, the keyboard & mouse uses mechanical energy to recharge its battery. As per reports, the Lenovo concept keyboard comes with a small dialer on the left side and a small solar chip on top. Spinning the dialer for 5-6 minutes generates about 30 minutes worth of charge.

Hisense, the Chinese TV company presented its all-new, premium 110-inch ULED 10K nits brightness smart TV with 40,000 backlit zones. During the event, Hisense boasted itself as a global power in the TV space. David Gold, president of Hisense USA, said the company’s ability to produce displays and even its own AI chipsets without third parties is something that sets it apart.

TCL on the other hand is also a Chinese company that presented its largest 115-inch mini-LED smart TV. While TCL might have won over Hisense by 5 inches in terms of screen size, Hisense won the show with its screen quality & brightness. Nevertheless, TCL too didn’t step back from calling itself a global power saying boasting 32 research and development centres and 43 manufacturing sites around the world.
