Paytm announced a few weeks ago that its users can now schedule COVID-19 vaccination appointments using the Paytm app. Both Covaxin and Covishield vaccinations are available for users to search for, find, and book vaccination sessions.

This function differs from the vaccine finder bot, which alerts users when new slots for a certain age group, dosage, and vaccination become available in their area. To book the appointment using the Paytm app, you will still need to register on the COWIN platform.

"Paytm users can now search, discover & book their vaccination slots for both Covaxin and Covishield at the nearest centre through the Paytm app," said Paytm, as quoted by PTI.
How to book COVID-19 vaccination slot on the Paytm app

Users need to look for the Vaccine Finder option on the app's homepage under the 'Featured' section to schedule a Covid-19 vaccination slot on Paytm. They can also use the search bar to locate it. Here are a few steps that you can follow to book a slot -

Step 1 – Open the Paytm app and scroll down to the "Featured" section

Step 2 – Tap on the "Vaccine Finder" option

Step 3 – You can search the slot based on the pin code and district

Step 4 – Choose the age group, dose, and select the preferred centre

Step 5 – Verify the mobile number registered on the COWIN portal via OTP and then tap on "Book Now"

Paytm will produce an appointment slip which must be submitted to the vaccination centre prior to the scheduled session.

The guidelines for linking the Indian Vaccine Portal Co-WIN with third-party apps were announced by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) last month. These guidelines will let third-party apps integrate the CoWIN API into their own apps, allowing consumers to make vaccination appointments through the app.

Paytm, Infosys, and MakeMyTrip are among the firms that have requested authorization to provide vaccination booking to its consumers, according to a media report. Several other businesses have also requested approval.
