Philips is one of the trusted names when it comes to electronics. If you are looking for a good quality electric kettle under ₹1000, the Philips electric kettle ticks almost all the boxes to end up on your list - it’s 25% thicker than other kettles at the same price, it has a food-grade 304 stainless steel interior, comes with a 0.75m chord length which is more than what you get with the Prestige electric kettle.
Pros:
25% more thicker stainless steel kettle
304 Stainless steel (food-grade)
Triple safe auto shut-off
Chord winder
Still better than most other kettles at the same price with a basic steel body with no food-grade safety
Cons:
The inside of the lid is plastic which could have been steel
The outer body doesn’t have plastic coating & gets heated with rising temperature (not safe if you’ve kids around)
The lid opens 90 degrees which doesn’t feel convenient
Glass electric kettles in India are kind of in trend due to their fancy look, being plastic-free, no worries of rust and ease of seeing the temperature of the water boiling inside. But there’s just something about these glass electric kettles that don’t feel as durable as stainless steel electric kettles with plastic bodies. Sure most of them are made from heat-resistant materials like tempered glass or borosilicate glass, which can handle high temperatures but all it needs is one knock off the table, the next you see is a crack in the glass. The Agaro Galaxy electric kettle solves this problem quite well as it combines glass and a plastic body. Comes with a BPA-free plastic body and a borosilicate glass inside with bi-colour LED indicators to hint towards the temperature of the water inside.
Pros:
2 Years warranty
Borosilicate glass interior to handle high-temperature
BPA-free plastic body to ensure safety
Feels more durable than complete glass body electric kettles
LED Indicators to show water temperature
24-hours keep warm function
Kettle lid comes with steel material inside
Cons:
1.5L capacity may not feel enough for large families

Borosil founded in 1962 is one of the leading brands when it comes to kitchenware & cookware. This Borosil electric kettle is compact, comes with a cool-touch body and heats 600ml of water in about 3 minutes. Moreover, the kettle comes with 304 stainless steel, food-grade, BPA-free plastic and a steel lid from inside. The chord is also 1.2m long which so far we have only seen in the Agaro Vintage Electric Kettle that costs approx 3.5K rupees. While there’s a lot going for this electric kettle to be on our list, there’s one drawback that we would like to address here. The Borosil Eva Cooltouch Electric kettle costs about ₹1500 and at that price, it's definitely overpriced. So if you are planning to shop for this electric kettle, it would be best to get it for around Rs.1000.
Pros:
Compact electric kettle with cool touch outer body
1.2m long chord
304 Stainless steel interior
BPA-free non-toxic plastic
Auto shut off, boil-dry protection, spout with mesh filter
On-site warranty service
100% copper wire conductor
Cons:
600ml capacity is pretty limited
Overpriced at the current price
Looking for the best bang for your buck when it comes to electric kettles in India? The Havells Aqua Plus is where it's at. Compared to brands like Pigeon, Prestige, V-Guard, and Milton, Havells takes the cake with its top-notch quality. But what really sets it apart is its insane insulation time, keeping your drinks warm way longer than the competition. And if you've got little ones running around, the Acqua Plus is a total lifesaver – it keeps that outer body cool as a cucumber even when boiling at high temps, making it one of the safest electric kettles in India. So if you want the best and safest electric kettle without burning a hole in your pocket, the Havells Acqua Plus is an easy choice.
Pros:
Most value for money electric kettle on the list
Best quality 304 SS with a thicker body
Higher insulation compared to Pigeon, Prestige, Kent, etc
Cool touch body (safe for kids)
2 Years warranty
Cons:
0.5m chord length feels a bit short
Not a major con but takes 20-30 seconds longer to boil water as compared to other SS kettles due to its thick body
You can also have a look at the Agaro Royal Premium electric kettle which comes quite close to the Havells Acqua Plus kettle and costs even less than it.
Prestige is an Indian company that is best known for its pressure cookers. Notably, the brand has also made a name for itself in other kitchen & home appliances segments like pans, gas stoves and electric kettles. The Prestige PKOSS electric kettle is one of the best electric kettles in India under ₹700 that you can shop online. If we compare the Prestige electric kettle with the Pigeon or Butterfly kettle in the same price, then the Prestige kettle steals the show by being the only electric kettle in the segment to come with a steel lid (the rest two come with a plastic lid which may have a risk of leeching)
Pros:
Auto cut-off
Cool touch handle
1.5L capacity at this price is pretty good
Steel lid while other kettles offer plastic lid
Cons:
Not the best quality, but decent kettle under budget
Chord length is short (0.5m)
Moving on to our list of the best electric kettles in India, we have got to add a multi-cook electric kettle for those of you who may wish to go beyond just boiling water. So if you are looking for a good quality electric kettle for steaming as well as boiling, this Havells multi-cook kettle is apt for you. It comes with 2 attachments a steamer on top and a kettle for boiling liquids below. There’s also a see-through glass lid on the top. Pros:
Steam + Boil
2 Years warranty
Dual power watt
Wider mouth for easy cleaning
304 SS rust-resistant body (food-grade)
Cons:
The steamer on top could have been in steel build instead of plastic
Solara Premium Electric Kettle in India is definitely another good choice to make if you are looking for a double wall-coated cool body kettle with stainless steel (304) inside, a premium look, and a large capacity of 1.8L. The electric kettle by Solara also boasts probably the longest chord length on this list, 1.5m in length which is easily sufficient for most households. Moreover, the kettle comes with a 1-year warranty and an auto-shut-off, boil-dry protection. Thanks to the electric kettle having a double wall thick body, it provides longer insulation when unplugged.
Pros:
304 Stainless Steel
1 Years warranty
Auto shut-off, Boil-dry protection
1.8L large capacity
1.5m long chord
Steel lid
Cons:
Expensive at this price (good buy around ₹1300)
Only 1-year warranty while you get 2 years with Havells for the same price

If you're on a tight budget but still want an electric kettle, the IBELL Electric Kettle under ₹600 might be worth a look. For that rock-bottom price, you get a 1+1 year warranty, which is pretty rare in this range. Now, IBELL is a newcomer in the game, and the quality might not match up to the big names, but hey, it gets the job done. With 1500W of power, it can boil 1.5L of water in just 5 minutes. It's made of stainless steel (exact grade not specified), and the plastic used is a bit of a mystery too – they don't clarify if it's BPA-free. That's why we've put the IBELL at the bottom of our list – it's really an option only for those on a super tight budget. If safety is a priority, you're better off spending just ₹150 more for the Prestige kettle.
Pros:
1+1 Year warranty
1.5L capacity
Steel lid instead of plastic which at this price is good
Cons:
The steel & plastic grade used is a bit of a mystery
Only for those who need a cheap electric kettle that gets the job done
If safety is important, better options such as Prestige are there with ₹150 extra
So this was all about sharing the best electric kettles in India that you can shop online on Amazon, Flipkart, Croma or other retailers. Some of you might be wondering why did we not include the electric kettles from brands like Pigeon, V-Guard, Kent Butterfly, etc. Well, Pigeon kettles (in general) felt slightly inferior in quality compared to brands like Prestige. Not to mention, Pigeon was offering a plastic lid kettle which has a risk of melting due to high temperature.
V-Guard is kind of the same story. Kent is still better than Piegon kettles but the Kent glass electric kettles in general didn’t feel as sturdy and safe as the double wall electric kettles from Havells feel. Butterfly lands in the same boat as Pigeon electric kettles but the brand has slightly better quality kettles to offer. However, compared to its competitors, the Butterfly electric kettles did not feel valuable for money.
