Good quality ceiling fans in India are essential. The India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s director has suggested that the summers in India 2024 from March to May 2024 will be hotter than usual. Maharashtra can start to feel the heat in April. According to some climate experts, by the year 2050, India’s climate temperature will cross the “survivability limits.” On the other hand, electricity too is only going to get expensive. So it's better to buy a good quality BLDC fan now. But for that, you might need to know which are the top best fan brands in India in 2024. That’s exactly what this article is going to be about.
Best ceiling fan brands in India in 2024, comparison, price, quality & customer service - find it all below.
Top 7 Ceiling Fan Brands in India 2024 as per Market Share in Fans Segment
To compile this list of the best ceiling fan brands in India (2024), we have gone through several “expert articles” and to our disappointment, none of the articles seem to have taken into account the financials of these top ceiling fan brands.
Why are these financials important?
Generally, the higher the market share a ceiling brand has, the more service centres availability they may have
A ceiling fan company may claim to offer a 10-year warranty but can it sustain for that long if it’s not profitable? Quite an important thing to think about if you ask me

Interestingly, I couldn’t find any article that tried to disclose the number of service centres & brand stores that those “top brands” they claimed, have. So we decided to search every nook & cranny of the internet, go through the latest financial reports by these brands and present this data on the number of service centres that the top ceiling fan brands in India have.

Top 8 Best Fans Brands in India 2024 (with User Reviews)
Ceiling fans in India is one of the longest forms of investment that we do for our homes. The average life span of a ceiling fan in India is approx 10 years. However, if you go into buying some latest technology of fans such as BLDC or bladeless fans, then the same may differ. Nevertheless, we will cover all those nitty-gritty in some other article. For now, here are the top fan brands for homes in India for durability & quality.
Crompton: The Top Number 1 Fan Brand in India in 2024
Starting our list of the best ceiling fans in India, we have got Crompton. The brand was founded in 1937 and the company is listed on the stock market. It's one of the oldest electronics brands in India which also owns the brand Butterfly (a popular company in the kitchen segment). As per the brand’s latest financial report, it is regarded as the most salient brand in the category with 85% of the consumers associating the brand with “silence & savings.” Last year, the CEO of Crompton in a conversation with the media said, we only passed on 20% cost to customers even though there was a 30% cost increase in fans.
The Crompton Energion HS BLDC fan is one of the best ceiling fans in India under a price of 3000. Thanks to its BEE rating of 5 Stars, 5-year warranty, 1200mm BLDC motor, and a 370 RPM of speed. Moreover, Crompton’s after-sales service is considered to be one of the best.
Review:
Coming to the review of the Crompton fans, the quality & durability of fans is one of the best in the price. They also have 650+ service centers in India which is the highest as compared to other ceiling fans brands. Here’s a comment from one of our users who has personally used the Crompton Energion Esave ceiling fan

2. Havells India: 2nd Top Ceiling Fan Brand
Moving on to our list of the best ceiling fans to buy in India, Havells is a brand name that is sure to arise. The brand has built a legacy of quality electronics since 1958. In India currently, Havells has over 15 manufacturing units and a strong retail presence of 2.2L (more than Crompton). In its latest financial report, when addressing how Havells handles customer complaints, the brand said, “We have established multiple lines of communications such as online service request, central helpline, WhatsApp support, App based interaction and email- id.”
Review:
The Havells Ambrose BLDC Fan is one of the best BLDC ceiling fans in India that comes with 100% pure copper wire, in-built voltage stabilization, a 32W power consumption, 350 RPM and a 1200mm sweep size. It is a little more expensive than Crompton and comes with only a 2-year warranty as opposed to 5 years in Crompton. Nevertheless, Havells boasts one of the best quality ceiling fans in India so you need not fret.

3. Orient: Best Fans Brand in India with a presence in 450+ Cities
Orient ranks in the number 3 position in terms of having the most market share in the fans segment in India. As compared to Havells, Orient has smaller sales revenue numbers. While Havells India's PAT (Profit After Tax) stands at 1000 Crore, Orient has a PAT of approx 20 Crore (FY24). However, despite that, the brand has managed to build a large customer support base servicing over 450 cities and provides its service across 26 countries making it one of the largest exporters of fans in the country. With an experience of over 70 years in the fans market & being renowned for quality & durability, Orient is indeed one of the best ceiling fan brands in India in 2024 to choose from.
Review:
In our research, we found that generally Orient’s premium to upper-mid range fans have a more positive reviews ratio as compared to budget range fans. Specifically, the Orient’s Wendy series in BLDC fans on Flipkart seems to be more popular & widely appreciated. The Orient Electric Wendy BLDC fan comes with a 5 BEE Star rating, has an RPM of 350 and comes with a 3-year warranty. It is a little on the expensive side, but we can’t deny that it is one of the best BLDC ceiling fans in India. Here are some of our users sharing their reviews of their experience of using Orient fans.

4. Atomberg: Best BLDC Ceiling Fans Brand in India
Atomberg is a name that needs no introduction when it comes to the best ceiling fan brands in India, especially BLDC fans. The company calls itself “The Tesla of India” and was started by two IIT-Bombay graduates, Mr Manoj & Mr Sibabrata in the year 2012. Atomberg is relatively a new name but the ceiling fan brand has taken no time to win the trust of 1M+ Indian consumers. Thanks to the company’s focus on making energy-efficient fans, high-performance & quality. It is one of the best ceiling fans brands in India to buy from especially if you live in tier 1 cities.
Review:
The Atomberg Efficio models are one of the best BLDC ceiling fans in India. With a BEE rating of 5 stars and consuming only up to 28W electricity, the Atomberg is one of the lowest-electricity-consuming fans out there as generally, most other brands offer up to 35W power consumption. Not to mention, as compared to Crompton & Orient, Atomberg fans look more modern. Here are some of our honest user reviews of Atomberg fans.
Thanks to @Sh990 @Raman997 and @Sudarshan61 for sharing their reviews of using the Atomberg fans with the community.

5. Usha Ceiling Fan Brand, User Reviews & More
Usha is yet again one of the oldest electronics consumer durables brands in India that has roots dating back to 1935 even before Havells was founded. The company is a top name in the sewing machines market and makes some of the best quality ceiling fans in India. It took a little longer for Usha to enter into the BLDC market and the brand hasn’t flared so well as compared to its competitors. However, when it comes to non-BLDC ceiling fans, Usha still dominates the market. Usha has about 50+ brand stores and customer service is limited to online support. That’s quite a con that some people may feel. Nevertheless, it is still one of the best ceiling fans brands in India.
Review:
If you are planning to buy a good quality non-BLDC ceiling fan in India, you can very well consider the Usha Bloom Daffodil fan which comes with a 2-year warranty, 1250mm sweep size, 380 RPM & a 100% copper motor. However being a non-BLDC fan, the right price we feel should have been under 2.5K. So if you can get it around that price point, then it might be one of the best ceiling fans in India in 2024 (non-BLDC).

7. Bajaj Ceiling Fans in India, 5-Year Warranty on Motor
Moving on to our list of the best ceiling fan brands in India, how can we miss out on Bajaj Electronics? The brand owns a roughly 7% market share in the country and is a leader in the mixers and grinders space. While the fans segment isn’t the strongest vertical of Bajaj in terms of the size of the distribution network, channel partners, and service centres, it still is one of the good quality fans brands to buy from. As per the annual report of the company in FY23, Bajaj received only 1.7% of customer complaints from fans and had a customer satisfaction score of 99%. Also, not to forget, it’s one of the few brands in the space to provide a 5-year warranty (on the motor). This makes Bajaj one of the top ceiling fan brands in 2024.
Review:
If you are looking to buy an affordable ceiling fan under 1500 rupees, the Bajaj Crest Neo ceiling fan comes with a 1-year warranty. Otherwise, the Bajaj Energos BLDC fan can also be considered if you can up your budget a bit more to buy a less power-consuming fan. It’s one of the most affordable BLDC fans in India and comes with a 2-year warranty.

8. Luminous Fans in India 2024: Best Ceiling Fan Brand?
Luminous was founded in 1988 and is based out of Haryana. The brand has 35 years of experience in the electronics market and spans itself across 36 countries, 70M+ customers and a distribution network of 2900. Being known for its solar systems, batteries and home appliances, Luminous is an award-winning Ceiling fan brand in India that is amongst the best ones to shop from.
Review:
Luminous is owned by the parent company RR Kabel and has legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador. Coming to the quality of Luminous fans, they aren’t as popular as Crompton or Atomberg or Havells. The price is also on a little expensive side. So if you are spending a few bucks extra for a ceiling fan from Luminous, you can consider buying the Luminous Jaipur Mahal 1320mm ceiling fan (non-BLDC). As for customer service, the brand has 1 service centre in Mumbai, about 3-4 in Delhi, and 1 in Kolkata.
Luminous fans are better suited if you are from Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and those regions as there are more service centres available there as compared to the west or south.

8. Polycab: Best Fans & Electronics Brand in India 2024
Polycab may be a new name in the fans market of India. However, the company was founded in 1993 and earns majorly from its sale of wires and cables. Polycab is a market leader in the wires & cables segment & has recently stepped into the FMEG segment (fans, switches, geysers, etc). The company boasts a healthy portion (66%) of promoters holding. In the last quarter of FY23, Polycab also said in its financial report that it has revamped its fan portfolio. Speaking about the number of customer service centers Polycab has, the brand seems to operating the customer complaints online via its toll-free number & email. As per its official website, Polycab claims to have about 2 Lakh retail partners and 4.3K+ dealers and distributors.
Review:
Polycab while is an established brand, is still a new name in the fans segment. In the research we did, we found that Polycab makes some of the most affordable fans. However, the quality of products & services does get compromised at times. So we would suggest if your budget permits, go with the other top ceiling fan brands mentioned above. If Polycab is your sole choice, you may want to consider the Polycab Airika BLDC fan. While may not be amongst the best ones yet, Polycab is still a good ceiling fan brand to buy from in India.
Thanks to @Hasdachehra for sharing your thoughts on Polycab ceiling fans.

So this was all about sharing the top ceiling fan brands in India. Do share with us in the comments below if we missed out on any other good ceiling fan brand.
GM Modular is also one of the emerging names in the fans segment. However, the reason we didn’t include it is because we have seen some reviews (from our own users as well) that the quality of the fans isn’t up to the mark and the customer service too isn’t that great.
LG too is a reputed name when it comes to electronics. However, in the Indian ceiling fans market, LG still hasn’t taken deep roots. The fans are barely listed on e-commerce sites like Amazon & Flipkart. Also, there’s no solid information on its customer service, after-sale support and quality of fans.
We hope you found this list of the best ceiling fan brands in India useful. Thanks to all of our users for always sharing their reviews, experiences and advice with us and the community.
Let’s keep the conversation going in the comments below. Feel free to ask away your doubts, or questions, or share a suggestion.
I will start with myself. While researching, here’s a funny conversation I found buzzing between our dimers😂
Perfect article for fan buyers.
I Appreciate your creativity and writing skills with touch of innovative tagging dimers approach.
Keep it up.
I would like to add 2 points.
1) Most people consider BLDC ( Brushless DC) motor fans for only energy efficiency aspect of them.
But there's another huge advantage, lack of heating issue. Conventional (Induction motor) fans use double more amount of electrical energy ( measured in Watts) to create same amount of airflow. Because most of that is converted into heat energy. Which actually increased room temperature. You can even touch a conventional ( induction motor) fan body after it has run for hour and BLDC fan to see the difference.
When a device meant for cooling a room wastes more than 50% of input energy as heat output that's very counterproductive. It reminds me of those incandescent bulbs (filament bulbs).
Buy BLDC fans for summer days, they would be significantly cooler than conventional fans.
=======
2) Though it is not easy to find out what type of components are used in a fan. You can try to find that out through watching repair and disassembly videos of a particular model of fan on YouTube or even talking to service centre technicians.
Most of the BLDC fans use ferrite magnets which are cheap and aren't as strong or long lasting as Neodymium magnets. As per my findings, Most of the newer expensive Atomberg Renesa models use Neodymium magnets. Which are stronger magnets, lighter in weight , smaller in size, Compared to ferrite magnets.
So keep that in mind too.
