TUTORIAL: How to Upload Images on DD
i have seen many dimers frequently ask how to upload images on DD. even i had the same doubt when i was a newbie… thanks to the help of some senior members, now its a piece of cake!!
i thought i might share it here so that its never again an issue for anyone. i used imageshack in the beginning, but found imgur to be faster in getting the job done. so il explain using imgur
u can head over to imgur
http://imgu...m/
to upload images from ur computer, use the computer button on imgur homepage and browse for the file
…or drag and drop into the imgur homepage (simpler option)
hit start upload… and wait
once upload is completed u get the html links on the left side of the page and image on right side as show below
to post the image on DD use the link under HTML Image (websites / blogs)
DONE!!
====================
to upload images from webpages, i suggest u install this firefox extension (im not sure about extensions for other browsers, i guess it must be there)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/...
trust me it makes life a lot more easier!!
with this extension installed, all u need to do is right click on image from web page → imgur → quick upload
voila, its uploaded…
finally paste the html code for the image on DD to get the image like this…
HOPE THIS HELPS!!
You don’t need to save them and reupload them to image hosting sites like Imgur. Imgur is a good option only when you’re sharing images that you created, like screenshots, photos etc.
This isn’t a trick or anything, it’s basic HTML and is used by a lot of dimers already. I’m just mentioning it here coz I’ve noticed an overdependance on image hosting sites for sharing product images from websites on desidime.
Steps:
1) Right click on any image you want to share here.
2) Select “open in new tab”
3) The image alone will open in a new tab. Copy the link from the address bar (It will look like any regular link, but will end in .jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp etc. (any of the usual image extensions)
4) Paste it in the following format: [img src=“xxxxxxxx”] (replace the square brackets [ ] with angle brackets < > and obviously replace the xxxxxxxx with your image link.
It should look like this:
And you’re done
Bonus to knowing a tiny bit of HTML :
- You can specify the image width/ height and get your image sized as you want
After the img src=“xxxxxxxx”, leave a space and write, width=“200” (if you want your image to be displayed 200 pixels wide. Play around with the number, you’ll get an estimate of what different sizes measure in pixels)
It will look like this:
You can also specify the height in the same way, like height=“450”. - You can make images clickable, so that when someone clicks on the image, they are taken to a website of your choice. It can be the shopping site/ manufacturer site/ reviews sites/ wikipedia pages etc.
Just add [a href=“yyyyyyyyyyyy”] before your img element and add [/a] after it. Replace the square brackets with angle brackets and obviously, replace yyyyyyyyyyyy with the website you want to link to.
It’ll look like
In this example, clicking on the image displayed from this would send someone to www.benderisgre...om (fictional website)
You will notice that imgur HTML codes are in an identical format, clicking on the images sends you to the image Hosted on Imgur.
You can read a basic guide for the img element here: http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/article...
Or you can see more features of the element here: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_i...sp
Hope this simplifies your workflow while posting deals

Thank you
You can bring the 4 step procedure down to 3 steps, if you browser allows it.
When you right click the image, instead of “open in new tab”, click “copy image url” or “copy image location” if you have the option. Then simply paste it in the correct img element format.
good job mr_na bhai but also u can upload images just a click away…use chrome extantion imgur uploader
