I am creating this thread as a placeholder for me and others to suggest new features and highlight existing bugs on this site.

Channel alert system seems to be down. No alerts have been received since after midnight yesterday.

We are transitioning the Quote feature and hence the problem.

@admin I really want a feature where I can save or bookmark some thread so I can go back and check it out. There are so many great threads, but sometimes I can’t find them.
Use Follow Thread option. It’s their for same I think.

Stale votes data visible in the scrolled down view of thread header.
This issue was fixed and rolled out.
Bug/Suggestion
First of all, I might have suggested these things in another thread a long time ago, but they are still not implemented.
(1) The “Suggest FPD” option should be removed for a thread once the deal becomes an FPD.
(2) A clear tag should be added in the thread header for deals which are already FPD — something like “Front Page Deal” in red bold letters.

Suggestion
I am sure this has been discussed earlier. It beats me why we still don’t have the option to copy a link directly to some post from the search results or post feeds pages! I understand there might be some technical challenges, but it’s been more than a year since I saw some work done to fix this.
Just to be clear, in the present system, the correct post id is there but the page number is defaulted to 1, regardless of which page within a thread the post is actually in and that breaks the link.
As far as I am concerned, this has been a very annoying missing feature as I frequently refer to old posts. It’s a big hassle to manually go through tens of pages in a thread to get the correct link rather than just being able to copy a link directly from the search results page.
Please try to fix the links on a high priority. It’s been long overdue.
Bug
Threads with Play Store links for the apps are shown as “Play Store deals” rather than showing the app/merchant name. It should be pretty easy to get the actual app name via cURL or a similar option from the play store page.

Bug
Unable to give Karma to users on certain posts/threads. The modal popup’s transparent gray layer comes on the screen but the box where I enter my comment and give the Karma does not show up. Note that this is happening only for certain posts/threads. Not sure what’s happening.

Your new change of showing count of likes in notifications, removal of post name & other features seem to be live now. I wish you mentioned these change logs somewhere whatever minor it is
I am facing problem when I am quoting someone I am also getting notifications alert
Is it because I quoted in response to that person’s tag of me? Is your tag notifications alert going to 2 levels? I mean it is generating alert for the one whom I quoted and also the last tag in that quoted post?

1. You removed topic name from notifications alert
Atleast show some characters to identify which one, it will help those who post lot many threads
2. Space seems to be messy now
If I am giving space in between paragraphs that goes away once saved, maybe there is some work around but as layman, say I give 2 line break / space between two paragraphs, all is gone & it looks very messy & clumsy
3. Please share some Tech id’s whom I can tag while reporting site technical issues / queries & whom will respond like @TrickyTimer or @MJ911 do on other things
Is that happening on Website or app?
When on mobile version of DesiDime & by sudden clicks Desktop mode gets activated, then if we are in say a particular post & we click Mobile Site mode again, web page throws us to front page instead of keeping on same thread where desktop mode was active
@admin @bumblefoot @siddharthd App has become messy after update. Notification links not working. When I click on any notification a blank page appears for a mini second and that i m redirected to Hot Deals Section.
Links are also not working. When I click a link a blank page appears for a mini second and then it redirects to Forum. There’s a bug with keyboard as well. When i press backspace to delete a character then second last character is deleted rather than the last character

1. Topics list no longer shows No. of fpd suggestions and Fpd tag
2.Topic post shows post created time and not last comment timestamp
This app doesn’t work correctly at iPhone 5s.Kindly check and update app.
The recent update has created many bugs in the app. The deals aren’t getting refreshed. Chat experience is horrible. Messages don’t deliver on time. Please fix these issues

Issue in Leaderboard fans data

I noticed that my name disappeared from the fans leaderboard about 2 weeks ago. I ignored it thinking it’s a temporary issue, but the problem remains even now. On a related note, although I received 2-3 new fan notifications around the same time, the fans counter didn’t actually increase. Please investigate and fix.
I can add “/edit” on any topic url see the edit page of the topic.
although if i try to change aything, it doesnt get reflected but it should not show me that page in the first place
