Hello All,
We will be rolling out bunch of new features this month and we will communicate the updates here from now on.
As many of you must have seen, It is now possible to send private messages to your buddies on desidime. Have that private chat you always missed.
Features Updates
- Private Messaging (April 4th) – You can send message to any member by going to their profile page. You can check your inbox by clicking on number of messages after your login name.

250 dimes – Minimum Dimes Required to redeem your first gift.
300 dimes – Minimum Purchase value of your first gift.
0 dimes – Minimum Dimes Required to redeem after your first gift is redeemed.
0 dimes – Minimum Purchase value of all other gifts after your first gift.
what do the above lines mean ?
If you are a new user u would require 250 dimes before you can redeem ur first gift
Your can not redeem ur first gift for less than 300 dimes
so once u have redeemed first gift…. the second time……. u can redeem gift for any value

A suggestion : To add the desidime coffee mug as was earlier in the gift shop, so that desidimers can redeem the mug for the sweet memories.
As posted by one of the desi dimers:
“That mug will remind me of Desidime & all you guys! Memories you see, some sweet some not so”
@ admin please allow use of coupon codes
maybe condition that can be kept is the voucher must be valid untill next 48 hours or so
It is now possible to only see popular threads. The link is available as part of "Filter by: " option.
So, if You want to check out all new popular deals for mobiles, just select “Mobiles and Accessories” as your category and then click “Show Popular” link.
We will be adding more advanced filtering options as part of search in coming days. So watch out for it!!
Doubt:
Suppose I have 250 Rs in Dimes and a gift certificate of 250Rs off for Letsbuy. Can I order a product worth 500Rs through Gift Shop?
Hi Admin,
Wanted to make a suggestion. On the forum page i.e. https://www.desidime.com/forums/daily...ls, request you to add a hyperlink for sorting according to Category / City / Posts / Views. The sticky threads need not change with the sort and only the other threads need to.
An additional hyperlink for sort according to smileys would be highly useful. This would help compare that particular deal vis-a-vis’ other previous deals.

This is against the rules:

•User Must include correct tax and shipping charges in the form or else the gift order cannot be processed.
•Coupon codes will not be considered in the final value of the gift, even if its available on DesiDime
•Orders will be placed within 24 hours to 48 hours.
•If product requested goes out of stock before order is placed, a new form needs to be filled
•Gift Vouchers or Certificates cannot be ordered.
•DesiDime Management has the rights to add new stores or remove any existing store.

Looks like you can redeem Gift Vouchers and the conversion rate also comes down to reasonable levels.
Time to be a active member again and end the Movement.
@ admin Why are you allowing redemption of Gift Vouchers when the rules clearly state otherwise.

See the below Snapshot on where those links are.. Hope that makes life little easier..

We have added a store filter option in “Hot Deals – Online” Forum. This will allow you to filter deals by stores.
So now you can narrow down “Mobiles and Accessories” deals in say, “Letsbuy” and then show popular deals…

Why are these stores under the heading ‘Other’ and not arranged alphabetically
- Indiatimes
- Letsbuy
- Homeshop 18
- ebay
- NA
- Yatra
If you want to lay emphasis on most commonly searched stores then the list should come at the top, not in the end.

@Admin I want more features at Desidime especially to the hot deals section.. Please add options to filter posts by time, popularity, thumbs up, valid working deals etc.
Currently we have only category filter. It would be great if you improve the site like that way so we can find deals faster and shop easier
